About Potato Party: Hash It Out

Welcome, friends, to POTATOPIA — where you can finally paint your mashterpiece.

In this quick-draw multiplayer game, it's YOU (the VR potato) against YOUR FRIENDS (iOS and Android potatoes), as they race to be the first to guess what you're drawing in three dimensions.

Up to 8 players can join using the free mobile app on iOS and Android. Watch the VR potato draw on your device or on a stream, input custom prompts, make your guesses, and use special powers to foil your fellow future french fries!

As the VR potato, choose your medium — 3D shapes, air-painting, or canvas drawing — to dazzle your fellow spuds with your artistic prowess.

Join the community and find fellow players on our Discord!

Draw your worst, guess your best — just don't eat the artist. Please.

✦ AI summary

Players appreciate the creative concept of combining VR drawing with a phone-based guessing game that lets multiple friends participate with just one headset. However, the game suffers from significant technical issues that undermine the experience: the mobile app is outdated and no longer available on app stores making it unplayable for new users, crashes frequently during gameplay across different devices, and the VR painter controls are unintuitive for newcomers. Additionally, players note frustrations with limited word variety and no ability to customize themes, which can lead to repetitiv

Pictionary/sculpting game using VR + phone app. The painter in VR can draw on a canvas with 3 colors, draw in the air with a bunch of colors, or place geometric shapes in the air to visualize a word. Other players use a phone app to see the drawing, guess the word and trigger hazards. I’m reluctantly giving the game a not recommended rating. I like the idea of the game, and I am impressed by the technical feat of getting this all to work with an app, but some things makes it too difficult for players new to VR to be the painter. I am not sure I can get my family to try the game again because of this. Feedback: * In a reasonably sized play space, the canvas, paint buckets and 3d objects should all be within the play space so locomotion wouldn't be needed. Consider adapting the creative space to the play space or make the creative space smaller so most setups don't need to use locomotion. * Switch smooth locomotion to teleport locomotion, because smooth locomotion is disorienting for players new to VR and can make them nauseous. * Add a setting to disable locomotion to prevent players from moving the world around if the creative space is fully within the play space. * Make the game…

DO NOT BUY! UNPLAYABLE! I bought this game in 2025 and had it for a month or so before trying since I was waiting for trip with my friends. Unfortunately the game requires a mobile app and the developers have not kept that app up to date and is no longer on the Play Store. I can't return the game but it is literally unplayable

The concept of the game is great. It is fun drawing and the equipment you get to perform for your friends is decent (room for improvement). But the thing that bothered me that we played several rounds, and of the 10 rounds, we had 3 times 'Pokémon' as theme... neither of us know any Pokémon, there is no option to skip a theme, nor is there an option to select / deselect themes. I hope there are plenty of themes and words, otherwise this game will be useless in 2 more sessions I'm afraid. ============ EDIT I must admit I was a little too soon by posting the above... There is a possibility as described in the comment. I edited the specific files and the pro's are: - now able to delete categories you don't want to play (like Pokemon) - able to translate the words, so it is easier for kids to play - able to add / remove words from the specific lists, to personalize gameplay About the gameplay: the concept is great. I just hope it will be easier in the future to use the shapes (like duplicating a table leg to make 4). Conclusion: It's not all good, but I changed to a recommendation!

I like the concept of this game to be able to play with friends remotely via android. However the pratical test on stream with people trying to join game via their android and ios system was horrific. Every 3 minutes game on phones would crash and i had to relaunch a new lobby. That is bothersome and annoying. I don't think that the game is stable for everyone to enjoy. This is my honest review since I have tested this game on twitch live with viewers. Verdict - it is not playable. I know that the developers doesn't want to hear this, but if a game crashes multiple times during an hour test run on multiple devices, then the game is not ready yet.

This game is a great social game because you can get many people in the same game, but you only need one VR headset. It was very easy to get up and going, and it was so much fun drawing in 3D. The game gets regular updates and bug fixes, and I would recommend it to anyone look to get artistic with their VR headset.
