It's very obvious this game is meant as an online multiplayer PvP boxing arena battle royale type game. However, currently in EA, it only has single-player against bots. As such, the gameplay isn't dynamic enough to warrant the current price tag, even at the budget price of $6.99 USD. There just isn't enough there. You have an arena that changes. You have power-ups. The problem is that the core gameplay is simply punch, punch, punch. You may want to block every now and then. It's just really punch, punch, punch, and don't tire yourself out. Another almost unforgivable sin is that there is no smooth or snap turning. You walk in the direction that you're looking. So you basically have to turn your head or your body to go the direction you want. The arena usually has dangers that you want to avoid so you have to turn a lot. The lack of smooth or snap turning makes this frustrating to play in VR. Game is running on the Unity Engine. On my RTX 3080, it ran fine, but there were no graphical or even sound setting…

Power Punch - Healthy Workout Edition is a paid VR boxing game. It worked on my Index and HTC Vive system, looked ok, sounded ok, played ok. You are dropped into a battle royale arena and have to survive. This is a multiplayer competitive game also, but can be played solo. Good workout also. There are powerups that you can pickup that provide other weapons. Buy, if you like punching fighting games. I got a free key for this from the Steam Curator program. UPDATE 2025: Dev changed the original coverart to AI art for some reason?! Even has an AI watermark in the promo photo, what a bummer. So lame. Before buying this game you have to ask yourself if you have a decent playspace in which you can throw punches in every direction, if not, then pass. This is because there is only one accessibility option in the game, which is rotating the virtual gloves before you begin playing at the comfortable and appropriate angle to punch depending on your controller style. Although I commend this option as it's crucial in a game boasting its fitness properties to promote proper form, that's IT as far as accessibility. There's NO snap-turning option or NO smooth-turning joystick option, turning is based on the position of your body. This doesn't make any sense when locomotion is handled smoothly with the left joystick (with no teleportation option) so naturally you would assume you can turn with the right joystick. What's frustrating about this (aside from every other VR game in existence offering these basic options) is that with my current cramped setup I can realistically only face one direction in my room where I could throw straight punches …
