About Praise Dead
Auto-battler meets worker placement!
Praise Dead is a roguelike auto-battler where you create minions from the parts of dead villagers and monsters. Use your zombies to defeat waves of demons, and to harvest resources to improve and upgrade your village.
Place your minions on the best resource squares to maximize the return - Each minion's stats (like strength or dexterity) dictate how much iron they mine, food they produce, and villagers they can recruit!
Powerful relics and multiple Necromancers!
Collect relics that will power up your minions for harvesting, battling the demons that attack at night, or unlock greater summoning ability. With over 50 unique relics there are many ways to mix and match for your play style.
4 powerful necromancers to choose from. Each brings their own flair and starting relics to the table. Unlock meta progression to make defeating the harder ritual levels easier, allowing for even greater customization.

I don't know man. There's some cool stuff, but it's buggy. And one of the random events literally destroyed all my zombies and gear just 3 levels before the final boss. If I hadn't been already crushing it and able to buy back hundreds of random organs, it would have been game over. It's also a pain in the butt to have random spells per day that dwindle down to just 3. It feels like I have a lot of complaints, but there's a cool idea of a game here... But once you get a few basic relics to kind of start making some kind of engine, there's not really any kind of "build" you can work towards afterward. Eventually you just kinda have everything and just do micro-optimizations for 14 days in a row, basically waiting for the game to end itself.1 found this helpful
Actually difficult to win, but still possible to snowball if you get lucky. Took me 3 hours to get my first win and seems like I'm not even 1% of the way through the meta progression, feels very balanced.1 found this helpful
Has a good idea but isnt there. Needs to be fleshed out a bit more. It has the potential but needs more updates feels like it would be a EA game. Feels too hard to get more summons, have to wait for the item to appear and hope when it does you have enough gold too. Equipment screen is glitchy, sometimes multiple items dispear when you equip one. I was able to duplicate a sword a bunch of times too. Buying organs doesnt update your gold amount, game feels laggy too.1 found this helpful
Fun and quick little game with a little of strategy and easily can become a time sink. I spent the first few rituals having a hard time, but then it clicked when I finally beat the first ritual and went into the endless mode. By halfway, I will say, the loop was pretty solidified and offered little more challenge, but I decided to finish the whole game out to wrap it up in a little bow. I was surprised it was on sale for, I think, .49$ which is, honestly a steal. I didn't think much of it, and shelved it for a week as I finished another game, and thought, eh, might as well try it. Worth it, honestly.
incredibly buggy...
Game is interesting and was fun but feels fairly clunky and unpolished with relatively low replayability for its price point. The random events can also be... ridiculous? The thing that made me just stop playing was after finally kind of figuring out how some of the mechanics worked and outfitting zombies I was comfortable with, a random event just killed them all, making me lose all the organs and weapons (accumulated over the entire run). Might be understandable on a higher difficulty, but this was on the lowest difficulty like 6 days in with no indication how to work around it. Just put a bad taste in my mouth.
