Primordial Fate is a 2D pixel-art point-and-click horror/adventure game where you control multiple characters through a fast-paced, narrative-driven story.With minimal inventory and straightforward puzzles, your ending depends on how thoroughly you explore. Using a simple two-click mouse system - right-click to LOOK and left-click to INTERACT (full controls are explained in-game) - you can examine or interact with any highlighted point of interest.Boasting three and a half unique endings, this game rewards careful exploration and attention to detail. For what it's worth, I enjoyed what's there, but it only took me about half an hour to play through the game several times, see all endings, and get all achievements. That's how ridiculously short it is. It's a classic point & click adventure, but extremely barebones at that. It provides the bare minimum of what a point & click adventure is. You have essentially [i]one[/i] puzzle and that's it. Maybe two, depending on what you define as a puzzle. There's only one scene in which you have to use inventory items at all, and it's as simple as it gets: take four ingredients and combine them in a bottle. The order in which you put them in doesn't matter. That's it, that's all the inventory interaction you get in this game. Meanwhile the only proper puzzle is to decide what to do before the climactic story moment. Your actions there will determine which of the four endings you get. This game felt like a fever dream of AI prompts and AI voice acting. I have no clue what was happening and am still unsure where to go from here. yes.3 found this helpful
The game itself is more like a visual novel than a proper PnC game, as you mostly examine things or watch non-interactable scenes and do not solve puzzles. Quite boring. But here is a grand example of why games need playtesting. Right after the start, the screen explaining the controls pops up, and there is no visible way to close it, but you can control your character under it. Well, you can count this one as your first puzzle, as you need to click the top right-most corner to close it because the dev forgot to put an X there. Lovely. Game? Failing to introduce who you are or why you should continue properly. The spacing is off; in the first segment, you watch TV for 5 minutes, and surprise, one of the ads is for the other game of the dev...like somebody will play this and want another game like this...right...
