About PROZE: Enlightenment
PROZE: Enlightenment combines a few genres – it’s an exploration VR-adventure with puzzle and horror elements. All of this made specifically for an immersive virtual reality experience with unique interaction mechanics.
Set in both past and present, it’s a story of friendship and duty, fear and dignity of the people facing the Soviet government and its echoes. Explore a Cold-War era military research facility, deal with the anomalies, solve the puzzles, and find out the answers.
In the present timeline, you play as Max, who’s looking for his friends Anton and Lera – they seemingly vanished. It becomes evident that it has something to do with the events at the secret Soviet research facility called Enlightenment.
Meanwhile, in the 70’s timeline Anton’s grandfather Anatoly, who worked at Enlightenment, loses his friend too. When Anatoly tries to find out the truth about his disappearance, he discovers the dark secrets of this research project.
You’ll have to navigate both past and present timelines, confront the Soviet military conspiracy and save your friends.

very buggy controller settings sometimes work on vive
The worst part about this game is that there's no part 2.
One hour into the game i adjusted some graphic settings and the game advise to restart the game. How convenient to have a restart game button in the menu...so the game close and restart it self quickly i imagine, since i'm not playing a roguelike or similar to a run based game where i might want to restart the run. No warning and smooth as an ingenious trap, game literally reset and delete all the save files and make you loose all progress...biggest puzzle of the game: failed. Worth a laugh for horrible design. Or maybe a misunderstanding in language translation? But still, let a pop up make you confirm what you are actually doing at least.

I enjoyed my time with this game, considering the low price ($6 currently).
You'll like it if you liked Red Matter, if you don't get bitten by its bugs.
It has solid interactions/mechanics with some novelty that I appreciated.
It has an okay story.
Graphics are very nice in places and just okay in others.
The designers unfortunately chose not to have a manual save/load system at all. While I can appreciate their rationale, they are being too idealistic. This game needs manual loads/saves because it has some big bugs which can be serious if you can't manually revert to a saved game. In my case, I fell through the geometry of the reactor room (which is, I assume, near the end). Unfortunately if you fall through the geometry in this game you don't die, you apparently just fall infinitely. I mistakenly used the "game reset" button in the settings which destroyed hours of progress irretrievably. So I think my time with this game is done. Which is fine because the reactor puzzle frankly looked like it was more work than fun.
It's bugy it's part of a game not a whole game and the developers stopped making the game so your stuck on 1 part
This is a puzzle game with a similar style to red matter. The atmosphere and graphics are fine, Unfortunately the story and the puzzles are not great. This is the kind of game where you will simply wander around trying to figure out what the game wants you to do next only to find that a bug caused an event not to trigger or you fail a timed event because of controller jank and have to repeat a section again and again. Overall, I can`t say I enjoyed most of my time playing this.
