About The Riese Project - Prologue
✦ AI summary
Uncover the secrets of your grandfather's disappearance and a buried Nazi complex by exploring a mysterious family hotel and solving context-driven puzzles as the sharp-witted protagonist Anna. This narrative-driven adventure prioritizes atmospheric storytelling and meaningful choices over spectacle, playable free in both standard and VR formats.
🎮 Welcome to the prologue of The Riese Project
A missing grandfather. A hotel with a past. Underground tunnels that refuse to stay buried.
„I got you... Wait. I’ve seen this place before.”
Anna returns to her family's old guesthouse in the Owl Mountains. Not for rest. For the truth.
rapped in a room, with a fogged mirror and a phone call from her mother, she triggers a chain of events that lead straight to “Projekt Riese” — a real, unfinished Nazi complex buried deep beneath Lower Silesia.
This is a free prologue of a narrative game where every click speaks. Every item means something. Every decision echoes.
🔍 What to expect?
🎙️ Anna speaks — you listen
You’re not a silent shell. You’re the protagonist — sarcastic, stubborn, sharp.
„Yesterday I was a quiet student. Today? A seasoned break-in artist.”
🧠 uzzles driven by context, not code
Open grandpa’s safe, find a hidden map, match piano tones to underground valves.
You think like Anna. You feel like Anna. That’s the key.
🌍 Real location, digital obsession
Hotel Szyprówka, photogrammetry, Lumen, Nanite — but the spotlight isn’t on tech. It’s on touchable atmosphere.
🕹️ FPP or VR (OpenXR)
Play your way: keyboard, controller, headset — everything works. The choice is yours.
🆓 Free. No strings attached.
This is just the first chapter of a larger story. Leave feedback. Help us shape what comes next.
🎯 For players who:
- Want silence that hurts more than jump scares.
- PRemember “Gone Home”, “Firewatch”, “Ethan Carter” — and want more.
- Own RTX, but value truth in pixels over realism for realism’s sake.
🔓 Not a tech demo. A trial by story.
The clock is ticking. Someone’s walking up the stairs. And the map doesn’t lie.
„Be a bull terrier. Be a storm. Be Jodie Foster in ‘The Silence of the Lambs’.”
"Prologue", "Episode 0/1", "DEMO"....
All descriptions for the same thing: an incomplete game, released with it's own Store-Page Instead of releasing these ''demos'' on the same Store-page as their future title, they choose to have 2 store-pages instead of 1, hoping that this will ''increase their reach to a bigger audience'' - even if that goes at the cost of cluttering up the ''free to play'' tabs, making it harder to find actual GOOD F2P games. Worst part? Crypto-shell companies, Ai-slop farmers, triple-A studios and even good, honest - small indie devs are doing this. There are actual HARDWORKING DEVS out there who see this kind of sh!t, and come to the conclusion that the only way to compete, is to do the same scummy practice as the bigger, more popular fish out there! Nobody wins, everyone loses.1 found this helpful
This is kinda like 'Myst' a kind of FPS Puzzler (Some puzzles aren't that obvious though!) Graphically the environment & details are awesome, some effects could be better, i.e. Water & Shadows Some Audio features need added to Inform you that you have triggered a puzzle correctly (The Machine / hidden door!) I'm not sure if I've reached the end of the prelude, I'm at the top pf a ladder which appears to be the only way to exit? but can't climb down for some reason? I haven't found any other exit! All in All this is quite an enjoyably playable game, it needs a few minor tweaks (The Torch & The Mobile in FPS mode!) Like all other FPS there is some issues scrambling over terrains and narrow pathways (nothing new here) Even with the bugs (some Top Tear Games ship with more!) this is by far the best I've seen since 'Cyberpunk 2077' Looking forward for the full game release!1 found this helpful
Waste of time NOTE: would be nice to state that index controllers not supported.1 found this helpful
Waiting to put a positive review on this (I love the exploration stance in VR), and the EU5 lumen adds great visuals and mood for it, but for now The Riese Project Prologue (free version) won't work with Valve Index Controllers... (solo DEV said he will sort it out with next patch...), but the early access (paying version) is already working with Valve index controlers... if you want to support his work !1 found this helpful
