Quantum Legend - VR Experience

Quantum Legend - VR Experience is a Free Demo for some other VR game the dev was making. It worked on my HTC Vive, Quest 3 via Steam Link, and Index system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok, Not understandable. Default language is Chinese. On your monitor you have a launcher to pick resolution and press enter. In the Setting lobby you are facing a menu board, with four choices, click on the arrows of the Bottom choice to change to English then to launch to main menu, VR Experience is a series of 360 scenes that you can just watch where you stand. Starting the Survival mode, you have to very little time to figure out things. Holding Grip on the Left controller brings up the Rifle with a Scope, this gun is what you need to survive. Shoot the man shaped droids at range and quickly move underneath the huge mecha. Teleport is the left thumb pad, turning movement is right thumb pad. Keep under the body of the huge mecha, if you move around too far from the body, it will shoot you dead. I don't think you can hurt the huge mecha. Keep shooting the humanoid droids that enter the arena from a door. The pistol on the right at your leg is useless in this mode, no aiming point. …

"Quantum Legend - VR Experience" is an incomplete yet completely pointless VR tech demo from China. It's short, it doesn't really work, and yet somehow they thought it would be a great idea to spend $100 worth of yuan to publish this on Steam Direct (but did not follow their obligation to at least publish this in Early Access to warn gamers it's not worth bothering with). What do you do in the game? As a VR tech demo there's little to no gameplay, just badly done FPS stuff against robots that will more than likely give you motion sickness and a headache. The graphics in this game are really quite good, which at least makes the game look more appealing. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. It's VR exclusive, and that shows the developer failed to understand the most basic axiom of VR game design... if the only cool thing about your product is VR support, your product is not cool. This is barely a game, I attempted to play it, and found that everything for menus and stuff is in what i believe to be chinese, also, the only content i saw was a minute long video of robots kinda walking around and talking and stuff, and then i was sent back to the homescreen, i was pretty annoyed at that point so i just uninstalled If you can get it out of chinese you may like it more lol
