About Quiet Valley

Uncover the details of the mass-murder that took place at Quiet Valley High School. Make your way through the twists, turns and scares. Read into the backstory of the town and the hauntings of the school. Collect items and interact with the environment to progress gameplay. Keep your eyes peeled for both endings! Contains some jump scares.

Graphics are rendered in a pseudo 3D manner using some math to create a strange warping "Fish-Eye-Like" effect.

Why is this called Quiet Valley when the whole game is actually in a school? IMSCARED style looks, the FOV is very odd, unique but confusing all the same. The "monster" is extremely simplistic and boring, aside from that: Key hunting, yes our favorite task in indie horror games. It's not the Devs fault that you people don't have basic brain function. Movement is easy and I enjoyed the experimental perspective, too many people complain about it but it is honestly just because they have the brain power of a rat much like all other steam reviewers that ♥♥♥♥ on games for apparently not fitting their small powered brains and is "too much" for their poor lil blobs of jelly in their head. Good game, I enjoy.

I'm gonna say it's still worth playing despite the weird fish eye filter. Not much happens and I can't say it's scary in any way but the story is interesting and the notes flesh it out just enough. There's something charming about the game's simplicity. First time playthrough: 1 hour 3 minutes 100% Completion time: 1 hours 44 minutes 6/10

A trippy horror title with a unique aesthetic that tells the story of a school tragedy. First and foremost, I would caution against anyone with motion sickness issues getting this title, as the environment constantly shifts around in very wibbly-wobbly ways as you move. You can watch the trailer to get more of a sense of what I'm talking about. This is not an action-packed game where you have to constantly worry about sprinting away from some sort of monstrosity, but rather, the focus is on exploration, puzzle-solving, story-telling, and atmosphere. The "save whenever you please" system is nice. Makes nailing down 100% on your trophy list that much easier. Game runs pretty smooth, and I didn't encounter any bugs. I think my only gripe would have to be how difficult it is sometimes to get around solid objects and find the appropriate walking area. Though honestly, in the end, given that you're not ever in any immediate danger, getting snagged on a desk every so often isn't a huge deal. Enjoyed this quite a bit. Story's nice and messed up. Definitely recommending. ^_^
