About Race The Sun
Pilot a solar craft in a race against the setting sun, speeding through procedurally generated landscapes while collecting energy boosts to delay the inevitable. Inspired by classic arcade games, it combines roguelike progression with daily-changing worlds and a robust level editor for infinite replayability.
You are a solar craft. The sun is your death timer. Hurtle towards the sunset at breakneck speed in a futile race against time. Delay the inevitable by catching energy boosts which reverse the setting sun - if only for a moment.
Race The Sun is inspired by arcade games of the past with a focus on highscores, short game sessions, and a sense of pure fun mingled with a nerve-wracking tension. The rules are simple: don't crash, stay in the light, and don't slow down!

What Steam players say

'Race The Sun' was a legendary early free PS Plus game on the PS4. The main appeal was that this game would have daily refreshing leaderboards, and a daily refreshing procedurally generated map that players would compete on. It was a good bit of casual fun. Unfortunately, the developer seems to have abandoned the Steam version, and the servers no longer work. It appears that you are perpetually stuck on one singular world, and there are no leaderboards. I would not bother with this until that is fixed.3 found this helpful
I really love the game I’ve played it on the ps4 in 2015 than on the Xbox one trough series X 2019-2026 and than found it on sale on steam and buying it and having a blast playing it1 found this helpful
I play this game with speedhack of Cheat Engine1 found this helpful
Visuals: Easily readable, grey and undersaturated. Lacks style with nowadays standards. Audio: Unremarkable music but stereo cues are good. Gameplay: It's the same level everyday, NOT procedurally generated like it's tagged on Steam version. Fast but due to my before mentioned point now bland without any variety. Conclusion: Was good when it came out, it was riding the minimalist mobile gameplay wave obviously. I can't complain, I got this game for free but you are getting exactly what you can see on the trailers nothing more, nothing less. Not my taste.
Used to play this to relax; never did race that damn sun
Chill good times, kiddos like it.
