About Rage Among The Stars
Rage Among the Stars is heavily inspired by old school rage inducing platformers. The old school graphics, the sharp soundtrack, even small details like the death counter are meant to immerse you into the full Rage Game experience. The idea is to present a real challenge in contrast with the increasingly easier games that are filling the market.
And that challenge is very real. Completing all 40 lvls on Rage Among the Stars is no easy task. There are devious traps, near impossible jumps, mighty bosses, and not as many checkpoints as you might like. In conclusion, it has everything you need to feel proud about finishing every level.
The story of the game starts with our alien friend getting back home after finishing his job in the alien factory. After a weird malfunction his ship crash landed on an extrange place filled with hazards. It’s your job to help him go through his perilous journey home.
It’s ok if you’re not an expert on platformers. We added a couple of features to let you enjoy the game either way. If you want the challenge, but are having trouble with your skills the Ghost Mode will be there for you. Being able to watch your best runs is a great well to polish your skills. Now, if you’re just looking to enjoy the awesome artwork and soundtrack of the game without too much rage you can always try the easy mode. A few less traps and a couple more safe platforms can make a huge difference.

Mt buddy STS mentioned Rage Among The Stars to me so I thought I'd take a look. I LOVE space themes in games but I was surprised to see how imaginative and funny the characters looked. And I thought 'oh this is easy" but ugh I am still jumping the spikes! You will enjoy this game and it's very inexpensive (maybe $4 or so though that can change) so I would definitely give it a try! This game is perfect for everyone who likes old-styled platformers and doesn't want the game to be too easy to beat. Some levels are just demanting but some require a lot of patience :P It is worth to buy this game because it gives fun and isn't expensive :D1 found this helpful

The man who made this game is the kinda guy who would stick his fingers in your spaghetti instead of using a fork, and you have to sit there awkwardly thinking to yourself "did that just happen?" you try to move on with conversation but you really cant get past it, just like some of the levels in this game. This is a difficult yet fun game, in the same vein as Super Meat Boy. If its too hard for you there is an easy mode so you could still enjoy it as a casual platformer.
I'm halfway through World 1, but was glad to learn about the available Easy Mode (for noobs like me). The added flower on the character was an adorable touch :). I am not good at platformers, but I have to say, I really enjoy playing this one. I lost track of time playing this game and definitely recommend it to others! I love the controls and the physics involved. It allows for a lot of creativity and strategy when solving the levels. The art is also beautiful, and I'm proud of all the work that went into this game. Also, congrats Matt on creating such an awesome game! It's amazing to see how far you've come from when I first saw this game during its development stages. It's rare I run into somebody who sees one of their creative endeavors through. I tip my hat off to you sir, you truly deserve the positive feedback coming your way. I'm excited to see where you carry this knowledge forward in your future projects :) I will post a more updated review when I beat the game (because I die too much lol).
