About Ragnarok Survivors: Valhalla
Are you worthy to enter Valhalla?
Survive a brutal 20-minute Viking bullet heaven, build wild weapon combinations, and bring home treasure to grow your village.
Fight through swarms of undead, demons, beasts, and bosses in solo or local co-op raids where one great gift can transform your run.
Battle well to earn the favor of the gods, then choose wisely - your life depends on it!
Ragnarok Survivors: Valhalla is a time survival game with minimalistic gameplay, roguelite elements, and fast solo or local co-op action.
Killing enemies leaves soul crystals and treasure you can offer to the GODS in exchange for GIFTS, new weapons, and the power you need to survive a few more moments.
The enemies will get stronger as you progress, so you need to shape your character on the fly if you want to stay alive.
Build your Viking with a little luck and a lot of strategic choices to survive an ever increasing onslaught of undead, demons, zombie warriors, and other nightmarish creatures. Hunt bosses, crack open treasure chests, and push your build far enough to earn your place at Odin's table. Can you survive for 20 minutes and claim your seat in Valhalla? Maybe.
But when you die, you die knowing that your sacrifice and inheritance will aid the next Viking trying to survive Ragnarok.
Perfect your character with combinations of weapons, gifts, heroes, and village upgrades to turn the tide and make your enemies cower before you!
Survive the onslaught to finally claim your seat at the table with Odin the All-Father!
Then do it all again with a different build!
- Kill enemies and collect soul crystals that can be traded for gifts, new weapons, items, and abilities
- Kill bosses to find treasure chests packed with loot
- Find rune staves with schematics to build and upgrade your village
- You will die a lot, but you can use your collected treasure to buy new buildings and unlock more power for the next warrior
- Unlock new levels, heroes, weapons, and abilities as you play
- Lots of weapons and abilities to build your character
- Lots of different characters to choose from, each with their own starting weapons and strengths
- Lots of different enemies and bosses, each with their own threats to overcome
- Tons of secrets and easter eggs to uncover... or are there?
- Controller support. Big screen mode.

Players are divided on this survivors-like game. Some praise it as fun and challenging once you find your character, while others criticize the limited single-map design, slow enemy spawning, sparse upgrade variety, and repetitive kiting-based combat that involves running in circles. The game has accessibility issues with expensive early progression gates, and there are concerns about the developer's handling of review keys.
Amazingly terrible. Enemies run just as fast as you. Weapons only hit in the direction you are facing and most have limited range so the whole game is doing figure 8;s around the tiny 1 screen map and try to graze the enemy with your weapon as you complete a loop. Or...Run, run, run, run, run, run, turn back as your weapon triggers, run away again, run, run, run, run, run, turn back as your weapon triggers, etc.4 found this helpful
This is a good example of not what to do in a survivorslike game. One map, I played 3 characters, unlocked a few weapons. The enemies barely spawn, it gets boring quickly. The upgrades are few, mostly gold or hp. Weapons dont seem to upgrade in battle.2 found this helpful
Seriously fun 👍1 found this helpful
Extremely fun and challenging, BUT BEFORE YOU START: Don't make the mistake of buying building that needs 5000 gold to make duplicate weapon. It will be a hard grind, and then hard grind to kill first boss to get new building material.1 found this helpful
its difficult but once you play a few characters and find the one you vibe with the game gets easier great game highly recommend it1 found this helpful
UPDATE and WARNING: The review changed to "not recommended" because the developer/publisher (Koding Nights) revoked my key on 04.05.2026. The original review was posted on 16.11.2024. Developer then went further and lied by calling it a "demo", which is not true since it was "for Beta Testing". They tried to explain this by stating that beta finished years ago - while it's true "Beta Testing" copies can be revoked, this happens in less than 1% becasue indie developers use them for promotion, giveaways, review purposes, etc. Changes to established formula are rarely welcomed, especially if they don't improve. There are fourteen heroes named after Nordic gods. You start with only four, and the others must be unlocked first. Each hero has unique attributes and a starter weapon. Then you choose the raid you wish to join. There are 12 of them, but you must first improve your shipyard before moving on to the next ones. The distinctive mechanic is the ability to build structures in your base. They require money earned through raids and special gems acquired from bosses. Gems are very rare and might lead to grind. Buildings are required if you wish to unlock new heroes and permanent up…
