This game is literally indescribable, or rather, I don't have the words to describe how much it touched me, not only physically but also emotionally. Such a beautiful and captivating narrative literally fills the entire time spent with this game. Frankly, calling this story just a game is beyond words; it's something more, something eternal. I don't want to spoil it, but I won't say much either. The game is indescribable, unattainable in a certain way. It doesn't waste time, but it replenishes it with so many feelings and emotions that it's difficult to describe in a single text. I recommend everyone to explore the forested nooks and crannies of this story.. Aand most importantly, always remember to "Reaching for Petals."
Reaching for Petals

Positives:
+ Good graphics + Beautifully designed nature to explore + Fantastic sounds and music + Notebooks to collect + Achievements + Amazing storytelling + The voiceover is just brilliant (and would make Sir David Attenborough proud) + The atmosphere is so amazing + Calm and relaxing + The deeper meaning + The philosophy + The most beautiful ending ever + Pure art
Negatives:
- Quite taxing on the computer (even today) - Very low FOV (fix below) - Head-bob that cant be completely disabled - You cant toggle the run function - A lot of invisible walls - Some overly use of visual effects like blooming (overbright/overexposed) - Its short (lasts for about 1-1.5 hours)
Conclusion:
Wow, this is an experience beyond what you could expect before playing it. I was drawn into it and captivated from the very beginning. Everything is so beautifully made, its a big piece of art. The storytelling and voiceover is so fantastic. I dont think any normal human being with feelings can complete this game without being moved in some way. Or more likely end up in tears, its hard to describe, it must be felt. So just trust me on this …

Nice little walking sim with some pretty locations. The game is really short, but if you're looking for all the trading cards to drop, you'll probably have to leave it running for a while. It took me about an hour to complete, but with only one card drop, I left the game running after I finished. It was okay, because I had other stuff to do, but after 4 hours, there was still one card drop remaining. I quit the game, restarted it, and left it running again, before the card dropped a few minutes later. So, it took over 4 hours for all cards to drop. As for achievements, if you're looking to 100%, most of the achievements are story-related (finishing chapters), however, there's one achievement for finding all 4 notebooks (one in each chapter). There are a couple that are a bit hard to find, so I suggest Lara's guide in the Steam Community at https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1194673298 JSYK, there are a few tricky places where you need to be in the exact right spot to climb or jump, especially in Chapter 4. If you can't move forward, just move around a little or try something different. There was one leap I kept missing, and was taken back several steps when I…

A bit of a snooze, but amids the pseudo-wise, incoherent mumbo jumbo is an okay thought here and there. Not much of a story, just information overload without any plot or an idea of "what is it, where is it, how'd it affect me" until the very end. The whole thing is just a setup for a big twist that is the ending itself. Author, refer here: Three-act structure From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The three-act structure is a model used in narrative fiction that divides a story into three parts (acts), often called the Setup, the Confrontation, and the Resolution. Syd Field described it in his 1979 book Screenplay: The Foundations of Screenwriting.

Though I'm leaning towards recommending this, I will say if there was a middling "maybe" option I'd go for that. Reaching for Petals is a weird situation of a game. It's moreso an art project than a game to start with, as you don't really do anything that matters within the span of about an hour that the story unfolds. The voiceover is soothing and nice to listen to, and you may get a feeling of introspection while going through the game. The story is, for the most part, told through some environmental storytelling plus some metaphors told in the voiceover, save for the in between memories as well as the final few minutes. I will say that it did win me over towards the end, and made me fairly emotional. Overall tough I'd say the game mostly shines in the environment it presents, this vast expanse of nature accompanied by calming music and the occasional voiceover. It's all pretty pleasant to walk through, and since it's very much a walking simulator without any additional gimmicks, that's pretty much all you do, and damn if it wasn't a pleasant walk in nature. However, the game is also fairly buggy, or extremely not optimized in any way. I have a fairly good pc, but the loading tim…
