Redemption Cemetery 5: Bitter Frost (IHOG or Match-3 Adventure) This is a standalone story Options include separate sliders for Music, SFX and Voices, Full-screen, Widescreen and Custom Cursor. Three Difficulties to choose from, or you can go with Custom Mode. Can be changed at any time. Story: Wenonah, the Spirit of Cold, had feelings for the Owl Spirit, Koturi, but her feelings were not returned. When Koturi fell in love with your ultimate grandmother, he gave up his immortality to marry her. Wenoah's rage knew no bounds, and this Christmas Eve she will finally enact her revenge by killing off your ancestors to make sure that YOU will never be born! The spirit of Koturi was able to freeze time, temporarily saving your life, but it's up to you to save your ancestors... and yourself! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1939598684 We do have a Journal, but each of the three segments is pretty nicely encapsulated, so you probably won't need the story reminders. Gameplay: Bitter Cold takes the usual Redemption Cemetery formula and changes it by having you save the living, rather than helping the dead. As usual we …

I'm pretty disappointed with this game overall, but the part that tipped me over to a negative review was the last puzzle of the main game - the gown pieces just refused to go together. I just got fed up with it and skipped it. Sadly it's a running theme with this game - even playing on casual, very little made any sense whatsoever. Either the minigames were too easy or ridiculously convoluted. Did I accidentally switch difficulties during a minigame? Very probably, as there are buttons on the sides allowing you to switch puzzle versions. As far as story goes, I liked the idea behind it but it seemed poorly executed. Some mad ice spirit trying to wipe out your bloodline by altering your past, all the time threatening you with death. I mean what the hell? Talk about redundant threats, if you kill my relatives you kill me anyway. Duh. Other ridiculous plot holes emerge as you try to solve puzzles. I'm guessing around an hour of my time was just running around trying to work out what to do with a full inventory - going to the map screen was useless as it would light up every zone as something you can 'do something' in, even if you currently can't. There is a button on the UI …

This is a good game on Steam sale. I played another Redemption Cemetery & enjoyed it more. As this is an earlier game I think the newer games may be better as the map was not that good. Still an enjoyable game, great story & relaxing puzzles.

I totally recommend this game and the others in the series. The stories that are behind each and every scene are quite interesting. If you, like myself, own the 1000 door series then you will get a great deal of enjoyment out of these games. The replay value is one of the best that I have come across. There is a map, an in-built strategy guide (if needed) and naturally the hint button. Fantastic work devs. Thanx

I can't recommend this. While the story and some puzzles are good, it is boring and frustrating. Most of the time, it's hard to figure out what to do and the game has you running back and forth across the levels for one item again and again. There's no smooth flow or logic to it, and after a while, I was having to use the hints constantly to figure out what to do next. Ignoring some terrible voice acting, there's also an issue where the audio regularly drops during cutscenes. It is not good, I can't recommend it.
