Enjoyed the bosses! Never have I seen a broom so strong!

An evil witch has cursed the town, and turned everyone into garbage! But a good witch has chosen a hero to, quite literally, TAKE OUT THE TRASH! You wander around town, beating up rats, slimes, and birds, as you hunt for the 4 items that will turn your friends back to normal. Each of the items is held by a boss...who's just a big version of a regular enemy, and is pretty easy to beat. As you get items, give em back to their owners, and the power of friendship-or-something will make you stronger! After restoring all your friends, all that's left is to give the witch a taste of YOUR broom! I wondered if this was going to have an in-your-face environmentalist message or something, but no, just a battle against a trash-witch. Color me relieved! The game has a nice big, colorful environment. It probably SMELLS horrible, but looks great! There's even fast-travel, to make returning the items easier. Your player-character has pretty much no design, but your friends all have a 2D VN-ish look to them, they look good, but kinda clash with the rest of the artstyle...not a bad thing tho. The combat is just swinging your broom, to either smack dudes, or smack their projectiles back at 'em.…

"Redumption" is one of literally thousands of student projects infesting Steam. It's from Southern Arkansas University in the USA. Student projects might look better than amateur shovelware, but they aren't real games. This is just a glorified homework assignment. It lacks the depth and value you get from professionally developed product because it was made for a grade, not for players. I don't think it's appropriate for for-profit colleges to dump homework assignments here. We have to sort through these short student demos to find real, full games. That's a kind of pollution. This is a case of an game dev college putting its own interests before the interests of gamers. Now, more about this specific game. The students made an incredibly poor quality low poly consoleseue action adventure/brawler/stealth game with an equally poor quality environmentalist undertone. The plot, if it could be called such, is that all your friends were cursed by a witch and turned into trash (did the witch curse this game, too?). Toy Story 4. Shaq Fu. Getting Over It With What's-His-Face. Numerous times has humanity attempted to make us love trash. But only Redumption has made the trash human. An evil witch has turned a small town's people into trash and it's up to Tommy Pickles (points for accurately-lumpy head) and the magic broom to clean up the city and restore the trash humans to less-literal trash humans. This is worth your time if you want twenty to thirty minutes of ridiculous, relaxing fun.
