✦ AI summary

Players praise the game's atmospheric presentation with its pastel visuals and melancholic soundtrack that effectively convey themes of solitude and self-discovery, along with its thoughtful integration of puzzles into the narrative. However, opinions diverge on the story itself, with some finding it poorly constructed despite the interesting way it's told, and the experience is noted as emotionally subdued—it won't provoke strong feelings of happiness, surprise, or upset, making it more of a contemplative journey than a traditionally engaging narrative.

I'd been meaning to play through this game for just over eight years. Reflection of a Fallen Feather shows us a game world in which no tile is wasted. The story it tells is poor, but the way it's told inverts that into something worthwhile. It pretends to be about many things, but at it's core, it's about 'movement'. It won't hurt you, upset you, surprise you, or make you happy. Experience it for yourself.

Игра "Reflection of a Fallen Feather" – это трогательное и атмосферное приключение, которое цепляет с первых минут.

Its a pretty good game. The lore is a total mystery, and it really does well to capture that NES RPG feel as you're thrown into a punishing world and the manual isn't enough help. Combat takes inspiration from SMT, but also feels a lot like the Monster race from the SaGa titles. You can carry over I believe two abilities to any new form you take, and there are I believe 3 tiers of monsters with about 10 families. This limits how much you can grow, but in this game that's a good thing. Its fun trying to make your ideal team and creating synergy between everyone. The monster customization system is what makes this game unique. Your form of course matters, but the moves themselves also affects your stats. Every move in your arsenal will increase and decrease some stats and resistances. A move might be really strong, but sends your resistances far overboard. You'll find yourself adapting to specific threats, mainly bosses. And as I said, you can only carry over 2 moves between new forms, so a total of 3 jumps is all you need to set yourself up.
