Featherfall, developed and published by Sokpop Collective, is a compact souls-like action RPG that distills the essence of methodical combat and atmospheric exploration into a short but memorable adventure. True to Sokpop’s philosophy of creating experimental, focused experiences, Featherfall does not aim for massive scale or sprawling open-world complexity. Instead, it delivers a tight, self-contained journey that emphasizes deliberate movement, strategic combat, and a moody, minimalist world suspended high above the clouds. You begin as a small bird hatching into a hostile environment, a premise that immediately establishes both vulnerability and curiosity. From the outset, Featherfall frames its adventure around survival and growth. The world is divided into interconnected regions floating among the clouds, each filled with undead creatures and twisted adversaries that feel both surreal and threatening. Exploration is largely non-linear, encouraging players to discover shortcuts, hidden paths, and alternate routes through layered level design. The absence of a traditional map reinforces a sense of disorientation and discovery, making each new area feel earned rather than handed…1 found this helpful
mid at best, imo the worst out of the soulslikes bundle
Can't recommend this. The game is just annoying; combat feels tedious. Exploration is bland. Power progression is slow and basic. Controls for the gamepad aren't fully there (good luck navigating the inventory).
Controls poorly, makes you block in the wrong direction. If Dark Souls was hard because the developer couldn't make a game, this would be Dark Souls. With Birds.
It's hard to find a positive quality about this game
sok-souls again i like this one more than a normal souls-like because of the top down souls-like combat
