Repterra is a base-building survival RTS set in a world overrun by dinosaurs. Manage your colony while battling massive dino hordes. Breed and ride your own dinos, unlock permanent upgrades, and fight to reclaim the world for humanity.
Massive Colonies
Building a massive colony is essential. Construct sprawling defences, set up vast production lines, and establish powerful grids to fuel your outposts. Each structure adds strength as you prepare to face relentless dinosaur swarms.Dino Riding
Assign human units (soldier, engineer, tamer) to one of your dinos and let them ride! Each human/dino combination has powerful and unique special abilities.Breeding
Put a male/female pair of dinos in your breeding station and let nature do its thing! The offspring may surprise you. Cross breeding with genetic mutations is encouraged.Taming
Lure in enemy dinosaurs with food, distractions, or sex. Once tamed, they will fight alongside you.Hero Units
Upgradeable hero units have special active and passive abilities, and will respawn when killed. Level up your hero and customize him with genetic mutations.Factions

Basically the best age of empires with dinosaurs ever made!! even tho its still in early access, the game already has a lot of content and four different campaign maps. the mechanics and gameplay are very similar to age of empires, you build your city, research upgrades, create armies (made up of both dinosaurs and humans), explore the region for resources and, of course, fight enemies. the biggest difference is that right now theres no kingdom vs kingdom battle mode, which would be the perfect addition and i really hope they add it at some point, bc for me the best part of age of empires has always been those deathmatch style battles between kingdoms, whether against other players or the AI. in repterra that mode doesnt exist yet, theres only the campaign, which is all about building a kingdom from scratch across four different regions, each with its own challenges, adapting to each environment to survive and grow depending on the available resources and unique conditions of every map. from time to time you also have to survive waves of enemy dinosaurs attacking your city from different directions. each map has several waves, ending with the final and most difficult one before you…23 found this helpful
It plays a lot like They Are Billions, with more maps and enemies that fly and swim. The Dinos are very tanky on the harder difficulties. You can capture dinos and breed them which is a nice feature to play with. This game is more forgiving than TAB, but still a challenge .8 found this helpful
I think at this time it needs a bit more time to work on adding features and trying to make itself different from They Are Billions! outside of a few QoL improvements and I guess dinosaur breeding. For the price you're better off just paying the extra $10 USD and playing Billions until this game either releases or gets more content. The perks you can buy with DNA don't do much, and don't feel as if you're getting real progression for obtaining them. As another review said - it just feels like forced restrictions to make you try and feel as if there is some form of progression in the game. The roguelike is neat for your hero, but outside of that it isn't really that unique of a game. Wait to see what full release brings.1 found this helpful

This game is an absolute treat already. Excited to see what they add up to the release date.
Pretty decent! Controls feel snappy, units are unique, graphics are nice and retro, and there is a lot of potential to grow. UI is pretty barebones and generic but I get that it's not a priority right now. Some text scaling is very obnoxious.
