Meta Quest 3S here. Launching can be a bit of a gamble as game sometimes just freezes hard at launch making your headset and PC warm up hard until you are able to kill the process or hard reset your PC. Game play itself is promising as you move from camera to camera and give orders to main character, but they botched with the save system. You can labor on for quite some time and when you exit the game you are still at the start. So i guess it's a nice tech demo then for people who cannot play in very long uninterrupted sessions. Wasted potential for me but i also assume the above dont mean anything for some so take things with a pinch of salt.

This is not the type of game I would ordinarily play, but seeing good reviews and seeing that it was free, I thought I'd give it a try. When I first started, I thought it was a decent stealth game translated to VR. But while I thought it was a little slow and easy to start with, it did keep my attention. By the time I finished the first episode, I was interested in playing more. The game doesn't change a lot or introduce a lot of new types of gameplay, so if you like the first episode, you'll have a very good idea of what the rest of the game is like. You do pick up a few more devices in later chapters, but gameplay is essentially the same. Having said that though, by the end of the 3rd chapter, I was really enjoying the game and was looking forward to more. I especially enjoyed chapter 4 as the setting is different and it has the most unique gameplay out of the entire game. Overall, I'd recommend Republique and would say it would be worth playing even if it wasn't free.

Если вы ищете напряженную, умную и атмосферную игру для VR, эта определенно стоит внимания.

Index user Firstly, hats off to the environment modelers, the assets are pretty nice looking for a game from 2020. Full disclosure, this is so not my gameplay style. The story did not captivate me, and the animation is sadly lacking compared to how nice the scenes can be. The AI is also VERY LACKING. I pepper sprayed a dude, and he just stood there silently rubbing his eyes for a minute while I hid in a locker right beside him. When he was finished crying he went back to his 2 point movement route like nothing happened, no alarm sounded, no call for back up, no investigation, nothing. I think this would have played out better as a movie, permiated by some hacking puzzles... with some tension from the main character asking us to hurry before she's caught.
