- Flipsides Bring Potential:
In this game, each unit in your defense lineup can have different classes on the front and back "side" of them. Reverse Defenders brings near limitless possibilities to explore since each front class will be affected by a unit's Flipside class and vice versa. Get in the zone and create brilliant real-time combinations by flipping your units to beat back the hordes of monsters. - Strategize and Prepare:
On each run, the world resets which gives you ample opportunities to try out different rewards from overworld chests. Finding out which ones you like with every subsequent playthrough is part of the fun. - Satisfying Challenges:
Every stage has a solution, but sometimes it might not come to you the first time around. There's nothing quite as satisfying as tweaking your defense strategy till you get things just right. - Timing is Everything:
Each unit needs to be switched between Meditation and Attack modes. Things can get pretty hairy when trying to maximize Meditation gains because you don't want to let enemies get past and wreck your life total. Timing everything to a T will give you a real thrill. - Experience Exciting Gameplay:

No mouse support. stage based game play with little to no carry over to next stages. honestly feels like a mobile game. I would rather have a significantly slower rate of progression on characters and gain permanent exp and levels, than play a stage game where it all vanishes after each stage, this is my personal opinion though.14 found this helpful
The new game inherited the unique design of Eight Defenders' enemies and crews. For example, Samurai in Reverse Defender got the skill to counter metallic enemies and slow down enemies from Samurai and Magic Fighter in Eight Defender. The journey requires more strategical planning before you advance. If you didn't take the essential chest or class, then you gotta stuck at some choke points. Having backup save data would be better if you need to reduce unnecessary time swifts. However, the newer game is not flawless. Let's see if the dev team willing to change or improve them...? The first problem I encountered was the lack of no mouse support. You can't set your crews to meditating status via your mouse. Controlling is a bit inconvenient for me, but I somehow adapted to beating the game with keyboard only. And the second one is insufficient save slot. This game requires save and load to reduce unnecessary time swifts, and this requires me to cover my newer save data with my older one. (when I notice another way to reduce my steps) 3 save slots are not enough for me, can we have more save slots to make more checkpoint?2 found this helpful

This is obviously a step back given that it was one of their first games, and you can plainly see and tell where components, functionality, and entertaining game play were lacking, especially with the I don't mean to be rude, but detracting dialogue and story. They could come back to this game and redo some elements but they wont. I say a thumps up but with a lot of buts XD The design of the game it's correct but no mouse support makes it painfull... The cartoon visuals looks fantastic but the movement of this ones are meh There is a great variety of classes but the effect of attack of each one it's the same just a hit.
