Well, it was Saint Patrick’s Day, so I thought I would try a more Celtic-themed game. Unfortunately, this game doesn’t involve the Celtic Wild Hunt… I think. Anyway, in this you have to defeat the Wild Hunt and their masters, the Four Horsemen. Apparently, they are attacking a town in a new version of the “Slaughter of the Innocents”, looking for any young girls and, well… An exciting plot, fun HO scenes, and challenging minigames await.

[h1]I give it a 'barely passable', it has issues[/h1] Fun game with some unique puzzles, including an old 'Logical' style puzzle - a game I played once on Amiga Commodore. The story is interesting enough, with the main feature being the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, even if one is a friend. Going a bit more in depth, I can't speak for music or sound as I had those off while I played my own music, but hidden object scenes were about what you'd expect if you're familiar with the genre - the game could have done with a few more, and perhaps a bit harder as I found these ridiculously easy. In stark contrast, the gameplay was all over the place. I played on casual as I'm trying to clear some backlog, so I was hoping for an easier than expected time at clearing the game. Boy was I wrong. Even on casual I had problems with full inventory and wondering what to do next. I'm guessing part of this can be attributed to the silly bat creature in my inventory, but the other two-thirds of the time I got stumped was wholly bad reasoning built into the game. If you don't mind trying to use your deductive logic to determine what a lunatic might do then my hat's off to you, be sure to get this…

VERY clicky-picky at times (ie fishing rod took numerous tries) Final words (8/10): Thoroughly enjoyed everything (especially the story which has a great final close in the bonus content), but the mini-puzzles.

This is a pretty decent series as HOGs go. A little running around, but good use of inventory and puzzling. I like the premise and storyline as well, much like I did with the other Riddles games. I like the interface and its animations with this series as well, and it feels like the developer of this series cared about the look and feel of their games, making a smooth and polished experience as a player.
