About Robber Knight

In medieval Europe, being a younger brother was a nasty business. The older brother often saw the younger brother as a threat, so as soon as he got his title and lands, he would get rid of his younger siblings or even kill them.

Exiled brothers were often too proud to work in the villages or as destitute mercenaries. Therefore, they banded together to plunder merchants and surrounding lands. They were well trained and equipped, and were characterized by ambition, which made them formidable opponents. They were called: Raubritters, or robber knights

Your story begins a little differently. Will you be a paragon of chivalrous virtues or a threat to your neighborhood? This choice is yours.

Robber Knight combines such genres as RPG and 4x strategy. The game is designed to depict life, a feudal lord in medieval Europe. The player will have the opportunity to develop his domain from the level of a single crumbling hut to owning a magnificent castle.
Immerse yourself in the medieval world by building, fighting and expieriencing an interesting story that changes due to your choices.

The Dev has 3 early access games released. None of them left Early access. This one 14 months since last update, the other one 22 months since last update. The newest isn't released yet. Willing to bet it is abandoned.

In it's current state I really can't recommend buying this game at the ridiculous AA price. For the price I originally bought it at (less than half if not cheaper) it could be more worth it, it's good for a few hours of fun if you can ignore the crappy AI voices the game would be 10x more immersive with if were just text. You'd be better off just buying a bottle of wine or a couple sixpacks to enjoy with some friends

If you’ve played similar early access sword fighting games, you already know what to expect. The combat is janky, the grind is excessive, and the game ultimately falls short of delivering on the fantasy of being a medieval robber knight. That said, Robber Knights does get a few things right. Recruiting a warband, fighting small scale skirmishes, claiming fiefs, base building, and questing all have solid foundations and can be genuinely enjoyable. The biggest issue is balance. There’s little incentive to invest large amounts of silver and resources when you can simply buy one of the best weapons for around 8k and solo most of the map with ease. If you enjoy swordplay games and can tolerate early access roughness, it might be worth picking up on a deep sale. At £30, it’s hard to recommend. Closer to £10 feels much more reasonable.

You can bodyblock merchants on the roads to separate them from the mercenary group, get easy loot and just run away GTA-style after that. You can get unkillable by wearing heavy armor, leveling its +5% armor skills and getting the final boost to 100% immunity from the anti-pain potion or related food items.
