Robin Hood - Sherwood Builders

A game that lacks polish, but is still entertaining despite it. The gameplay and crafting feel fairly basic (and at times fairly jank), but they're effective enough - and get a little less rough once you start unlocking more skills/abilities. The graphics generally look good enough, the world is vast and varied enough, and the voice acting is decent enough. While this might all come across as a negative when compared to other games (like... "Why should I bother with something that's only 'good enough' when I could be playing things that are great?") what I mean to say is that everything gets a passing grade at being interesting and entertaining -- I don't regret the money I spent on this game, I don't regret the hours I've put into it - and I look forward to putting even more into is as I explore the other regions (though I am a fan of Robin Hood legends and open world games as a whole). Also, while the graphics are generally good enough, I do have to say that the dynamic lightning and weather effects are legit beautiful. It's a good game, and I don't know why there are bad comments. The fighting mechanics was good, the story was good, also has a good big map and alot of quest, and I enjoyed the building part. I say the game has alot of potential to be better, maybe Co-op mode, and if this was a multiplayer game it would have been a really great game. I say this game is good game, but it could turn to an excellent game if few things are added.

I really liked the game, but there are a few things I’d love to see added in a sequel—specifically, a horse for traveling and exploring the game world more thoroughly. A manual save feature would also be a great addition. Aside from that, everything was excellent—from the gameplay to the story. I enjoyed it so much that I finished the game in just 3–4 days. My rating is 8.5/10.

This is a nice little indie open world RPG. Surprisingly large map for Indie, and thanks to small and totally optional puzzles, there's something to do pretty much everywhere. Most side quests are rather boring, mostly fetch quests, but not all of them and sometimes you have to defend someone, track some robbers down and so on. Everything is voice acted, but this comes with a footnote. While the main characters VA did a good job, some of the side characters.. I have no idea if they asked family members that didn't wanna do it or if it's some older AI or something, but they ofteh inflect everything wrong, deliver lines in deadpan that should be full of emotion, sometimes shout the wrong words.. It's weird. That is not one of it's strong suits. The base building is a nice idea. I liked it, but I can see how people might not like it. The only buildings you really need is a smelter and a blacksmith, maybe the alchemist. While the best melee weapon in the game is won in the arena, you hardly manage to survive it with the wooden training sword you start with, and you can't buy weapons anywhere. In fact, the only place you're likely are to spend any substantial amount of money is upgrad…

It's a fun game with some good mechanics and nice missions. I like the fact you can stumble upon a mission as you wander around. One criticism is the poor use of English. It seems like developers used Google Translate instead of an actual translator. But my main criticism was the unexpected use of the C word. There was no language warning and all of a sudden BAM. It just doesn't fit the genre nor was it flagged. I would recommend removing this from the game entirely.

Nice game for casual playing with funny conversations and interesting story. A few minor bugs, but nothing game breaking. It's usually enough to come back at another point. Does have a few points that need improvements, but over all its a decent game for the price.
