"Rocket Hit" is more of a tech demo or proof of concept than a real game. It's basically a (limited) 3D asteroids game without the shooting, and a focus on "realistic" orbital mechanics... it's dry, boring, feels incomplete and barebones, and also, completely directionless. No real value here for gamers. The graphics aren't great. That's understandably a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. On the matter of pricing and value for gamers, most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's often nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of shady pricing schemes that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. I write this review keeping in mind that this is the first game made by this dev and is free to play: It is an interesting concept, that I could see being a lot of fun. In it's current state its fun to pick it up and try to figure it out, for about 10-15 minutes. In fairness I didn't really make much progress besides using the sun as a shadow to give me a slight heads up I am about to get mauled by random space junk. Future ideas for the game that might make it more player friendly/engaging: -A warning symbol when a meteor is coming -Maybe a dashboard to poke fun buttons? -A harder mode where you are trying to get to Mars land, and return to Earth, extra hard if you need to stop on the surface to drop off a person!2 found this helpful
