Let's rod and roll. Story: There's no story campaign to speak of. Graphics: Rod Roll is by all means a very minimalistic game. All the visuals from the randomly generated path to the rods you use are all very simplistic and it works well for the type of game we're talking about here. It's easy on the eyes and that's all that matters. Audio: Another section where there's not much to say. Apart from little bloops and beeps when you move and get a game over the game is mostly silent. It's fine and is quite satisfying when you go fast and chain together moves, but there's background music so you'll have to find something else to fill the void. Gameplay: Rod Roll is one of those endless mobile games where the only goal is to see how far you can get. You control a rod that flips two ways and you have to land your moves on a narrow path, if you land it off the path you get a game over, that's all there is to it. It's fun and simple and is quite mindless. I found it to be a nice time waster, but it's nothing all that special and honestly won't grab your attention for that long. Rods: Rod Roll is a very simple arcade game built around the idea of rolling a rod as far as I can. I am basically trying to keep the rod moving, spin it at the right moments and beat my previous distance while building up a combo. There is not really a complicated story or a big set of systems getting in the way, which I actually think suits the game. It feels more like a small relaxing challenge that I can pick up for a few minutes rather than something I need to spend hours learning. The main thing I like is how easy it is to get into. The basic controls are simple, but getting a really good run takes some timing because I need to keep the roll going and avoid messing up the momentum. The infinite level structure also means I am not just working through a fixed collection of stages. I can keep trying to push my distance further and see how long I can maintain a good run. The combo boost gives me another reason to stay focused because keeping things going makes the run more rewarding. There is also a surprisingly large collection of rod sets to unlock and use. I like having those cosmetic options because they give the otherwise very simple game something to collect. The hourly …

Pretty simple game, but I actually enjoyed it. Easy to play, relaxing, and good for killing some time. Would recommend giving it a try.
