About Rogue Conflict
Rogue Conflict is a game that combines the tactical depth of a wargame with the unpredictability of a roguelike.Each campaign unfolds differently — maps, units, and upgrades change with every run.Units lost are gone forever, and if you fail a campaign you will have to start a new one.
At the beginning of each new campaign you are presented with the option to pick one of fifteen unique armies, each with their own strengths and weaknesses.Throughout the campaign you will also have to opportunity to customize your army by requesting new units and assigning upgrades to them to help further specialize your army. All the maps in Rogue Conflict are procedurally generated, ensuring that no two runs are the same. You'll need to carefully plan your attack at the beginning of each mission and make sure you use the maps terrain features to your advantage in order to complete each combat puzzle.The difficulty in Rogue Conflict is designed to push your tactical skills to their limit.When advancing your troops, you will have to do so with care, as your opponent will be ready to punish you for every little misstep along the way, and the roguelike nature of the game means that all decisions are final.

Very tough game, a real thinker. But as soon, as you understand, how the mechanics and upgrade system works, it´s possible to beat a campaign on "easy" difficulty. I highly recommend playing this game on "easy", because it just gives you more time and ressource points. The hits in your nuts are the same as in standard.2 found this helpful
Pretty clever wargame. Kind of hybrid between more complex conflict simulations and the arcade-like Advance Wars we all so love. Enjoyable!1 found this helpful

Very challenging game. Even on the lowest difficulty. However, I have also discovered a game breaking bug. Upon the enemies turn, half way through the second mission. It freezes and just sticks there for the rest of eternity. Still... overall, good fun game.

This is a very challenging turn-based military strategy game, and highly recommended for those who enjoy tight resource and time management, unit positioning and synergies, and tactical planning. The game comes with several campaigns, each with a different starting army that you grow upon as you progress through the game. Some campaigns only get unlocked when you finish the game with available armies. Each campaign consists of 4 consecutive missions, the first three can be picked from 3 different options of difficulties, where the objective, terrain, and enemy army size varies. The last mission is always predetermined, but with random map layout. Each mission consists of one or more objectives, and often it is necessary to reach the other end of the map in order to finish the mission. The size of the maps can vary and sometimes it is a long distance to travel, and every mission has a limited amount of turns available during which a mission can be completed, so it's important to plan ahead. A good army composition is of a variety of units, and it's important to keep as many units alive through each mission as possible, for they will be needed for the following missions as w…
