The first and only crowdfunded game I backed. Totally abandoned, these devs are scammers. Stay far away.8 found this helpful
I do like this game but unfortunately, there's been no update from the dev in ~2 years. At the very least just say that you've abandoned the game.2 found this helpful
The standard difficulty is impossible to beat do to a level that is meant to be a bonus stage, just isn't set as one. It's been 3 years, and the developers still hasn't fixed this. Don't buy this, Just play Paperball instead.2 found this helpful
tl;dr - Game plays very nicely, very faithful to the Gamecube Monkey Ball era, but abandoned project is abandoned project. Would be worth 50+% off, but sales do not happen. I was one of the earliest backers for this game, having access to the closed beta before it was open for purchase. I also, to my knowledge, was the first one to make an (admittedly super crappy) custom level, just to see if I could. I've grown up with Monkey Ball 1 & 2 since I was around 4. Their aim was primarily focused on making the physics engine as faithful as possible, and I believe they captured it very well. The gameplay is fluid, it's very satisfying and executed well. That being said, this game was revealed and run its course Early Access, with the promise of various expected features - A challenge mode, story mode, more levels, etc. Unfortunately, these updates (mostly) failed to follow through. The state Rolled Out is left in is more a state akin to a sandbox, a place to explore and experiment with the physics. Certainly a fun experience, especially if you already love the genre, but in the state it's left at I would not pay full price for it. In spirit of an abandoned project, a sale also Does Not…1 found this helpful
Fun but abandoned by dev1 found this helpful
It's been years with no updates, if they ever deliver what was promised I'll change the review to positive but as it is now I cannot recommend this
