Please note -- even if my review says "product refunded" on top, but I own the game. I did re-buy it.. EDITED REVIEW -- I gotta rewrite my review because the game has changed so much for good and all the optimisations work so well. Much better than some other "very famous" games. After the recent update of Feb 28, 2026 -- the game feels very smooth. It will take a bit time to compile shaders when loading for first time after game installation. The CPU/GPU usage has become much lower than before which means less stress on our PC/Laptop. I am on a mid range gaming laptop and I can run the game on high settings with NO LAG or NO STUTTER. The game now offers mid game saving function which means we can save and quit whenever we want, which has been a great help for quick play sessions. Lots of important QOLs have been implemented which I can't list here but you'll see it yourself if you try it. The devs have also balanced in-game too much saturated color -- which is why the environment now gives REAL COZY vibe. Due to the few reviews, I wasn't sure whether to get the game or not. Based on the current status, I'm actually considering returning it. The biggest problem with the game is the translation. Even in English, you shake your head. Cleaning up is called "get out." But the most problematic thing for a German player is the German translation. "Gemüsesuppe" is listed twice in German. One is "vegetable stew" and the other is "vegetable soup." In German, one would be "suppe" and the other "eintopf." By the time I figured that out, I'd already had a few losses. Because: Once you pick something up, you can only throw it in the trash instead of just putting it aside somewhere. I managed to throw something on the floor once, but I couldn't find the key again. The Shift key for walking faster only works when it wants to. Besides, normal walking is much too slow. I wish there was a "lock" option here. Then time passes so quickly that you can only serve a maximum of three customers – if you at least read the story through. I have a game similar to that and maybe thats why I am a bit disappointed4 found this helpful
12/24/2025 [strike]Started a new game to try the 0.1.4 update but the game crashes every time when serving the 3rd customer. I'll come back and try again next update.[/strike] I was silly and was running modded minecraft at the same time so my high RAM utilization probably crashed the game when serving customers. No more crashes after I closed minecraft. The recent update made it so that a new customer will never spawn until you finish fully serving the current customer. This results in almost a minute of waiting for the next customer to spawn and walk into the inn. (there are currently not enough game systems to occupy your time between customers). Also, progressing in the game still does not unlock any new ways to play the game, just new recipes that are cooked the same way as the old recipes, just with more ingredients. I'll try the game again after the Greenhouse update. (PLEASE ALLOW MORE THAN 1 CUSTOMER AT A TIME) Old reviews: A really charming game that unfortunately doesn't have much content yet (Early Access despite the store page not listing it as such).
