About Roterra 3 - A Sovereign Twist

Enter the magical world of Roterra® where up is relative and the path ahead may actually be behind. Rotate, flip, and shift to change your perspective, find your way out of complex mazes, and claim the crown of Roterra.

Sometimes changing your point of view makes all the difference.

Main characters, Angelica and Orlando face off to rule the floating cube world where gravity is no obstacle. Challenges await players as they turn and flip cubes to move the ground, open pathways, and overcome barriers in 24 levels containing over 50 hand-crafted puzzles.

With numerous puzzles, pick-up and play design, innovative gameplay and imaginative level design, Roterra 3—A Sovereign Twist will excite puzzle game fans. Remember, all puzzles are solvable but getting from start to finish takes many steps as you flip paths and toggle switches to shift the world and clear your route. Advanced planning is highly recommended with these perspective-changing maps that include hidden paths, hard to reach switches, and path-changing gems. You may get lost trying to figure out the impossible-looking puzzles, but you will never get stuck!
 • 50 hand-built puzzles over 24 levels
 • Beautifully decorated levels with updated art styles
 • New swamp environment - avoid the frogs and bees
 • New snow and ice worlds will bring a chill to your play

RATING • Good: 7 / 10 STEAM DECK • Runs well POSITIVES • Nice Scenarios (very colorful) • Relaxing neutral music (could listen for hours) • Cool puzzles NEGATIVES • Sometimes the perspective gets confusing • Camera is hard to maneuver POSSIBLE IMPROVEMENTS • Have a free camera with zoom option natively in one or two of the buttons (current access menu is complicated and a bit clunky). Button L2 could enable the free camera while right analog could control the zoom for example. • Allow players to rotate the scenario using a free view anchored in a central point (like 3d modelling programs). This would solve the perspective issue. Button R2 could fixate the camera while left analog could move it 360° and right analog could control the zoom for example. • If these improvements are implemented, have also a button to return to regular player perspective with character focused. • Explain in the first stages through a pop-up message that only cubes with dices can be selected and that they rotate in 4 directions once selected. Same thing for the crystals (took me a while to find out that I had to click the crystal to be able to change settings and move on). CONCLUSION It's a well dev…

3d jigsaw/path-building/perspective manipulation puzzler series with a fairytale setting. the first two games are mobile-only, I was told it'd be too much work to adapt the controls to pc. would be fair enough, except I went in release order and controls are identical in all the games. in fact, this one has more (and much worse), so it's a fishy excuse to say the least. my reviews are largely the same as well, covering the whole series. despite the store page requirements, playing on win7 is possible. the unskippable intro (great start) is followed by a mobile tutorial with tapping (even better), part of the first of 24 long-ass levels unlocked one by one. later stages can take 20 minutes or more but there are checkpoints and quitting saves checkpoint progress, so there's that. can't replay an earlier level without losing progress on the current one though, which is stupid. since it's 3d and you're wandering a world made of cubes, there's a lot of tedium to simply see what all the sides have, then more to make them appear the right way on the right side. another unfortunate inclusion is trial & error, gotta keep rotating colored pillars and entering so…

Prepare for a game where the only thing being "flipped" more than the scenery is your own sense of direction.
