Monument Valley 3

Had to play MV3 because I played MV 1 & 2. This may be the worst of the three. They got rid of the "friend" and turned him into a boat. The boat mechanics are terrible and I miss the old column character. The story eats up a lot of time, unable to skip the cutscenes. Story is very woo-woo. Beautiful artwork, but not worth it unless you're a perfectionist and want to beat all Monument Valley has to offer.

Somehow even more incredible than the first two games. The models, textures and map all got a touch up and look more refined (higher poly count perhaps). The animations are very fluid and the soundtrack ties everything together. There are more hidden details/animations within the maps themselves that make the maps more lively and being able to interact with many little characters makes the story so much better. As well, many mechanics got a upgrade, like the new camera features with zoom and pan. Truly a masterpiece.

[b]Base game – 10/10[/b] Another Monument Valley masterpiece that is definitely not worse than the previous two games. Quite short but brings a lot of enjoyment! [b]Achievements – 10/10[/b] The achievements are mostly story-related, but they are still fun to unlock.

[h2] Review:[/h2] A beautiful puzzle game. More of a playable art- with great music- then a challenging puzzle game, but that doesn't really matter as it is a dazzling experience. I would highly recommend playing Monument Valley I & II before, however each game is a stand alone experience. [h2] Completionist Review:[/h2] The free DLC levels that were added really complete the game. They make the game feel the perfect length and add a higher level of challenge with some neat new mechanics.

Beautiful game! Lovely series continuation with familiar and new mechanics alike. The environment and aesthetics continue to be absolutely stunning. Really enjoyed the narrative and extra levels as well!
