About Twist & Turn

Twist & Turn is a puzzle game inspired by kuru kuru kururin. Your character is always rotating. The only buttons are WASD to move, since you are passively turning. Navigate it through obstacles to try to get to the end of the level. There are two worlds, and 4 levels in each world. There will also be more levels added down the line.

✦ AI summary

Twist & Turn is a short, simple precision timing game where you navigate a constantly rotating baton through obstacles, inspired by games like Kuru Kuru Kururin. While some players find it offers brief entertainment with an interesting core gimmick, most agree the game feels rushed and poorly executed, with uninspired level design that doesn't justify playing it over superior alternatives in the genre.

Mildly recommended. It's a nice twist on the usual wall is death type game. It is really short, has simple graphics, but if you like precision platformer style play, you might enjoy this for a few minutes.

Kuru Kuru Kururin if it was bad. The game feels very rushed and nothing is interesting about the levels. Just play Kuru Kuru Kururin instead...

"Twist & Turn" is a genuinely but badly made "gimmick" game. This unambitious 2D scrolling action puzzle game has you controlling a baton that rotates constantly, so of course the rules are "don't touch the sides". Getting through each level involves careful timing to make sure your rotating baton doesn't touch anything from A to B. That's it. A simple concept, but unfortunately even less work went into the actual game, so it was a dismal failure. The game is really simple and unambitious in terms of implementation, more of a tech demo or one of those cases where an amateur developer spends $100 to publish something on Steam Direct to see if it's possible. Yes, obviously it's possible. A proof of concept, tech demo, or something that's less than a little blip on the radar isn't offering anything truly valuable to gamers. The game features really lacklustre 2D visuals (does the developer not know 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid-1990s?). Gamers don't spend thousands of dollars on gaming rigs and the latest 3D graphics cards to play 2D games. Even mobile phones and game consoles can do 3D graphics now. There's no excuse. On pricing, this is "free" enough, at least…

Fun little 8-level puzzle game. Well more of a timing game. More like a movement game. I don't know what kind of game it is, but its short and sweet.
