Rotieer is a tilt maze, but with horizontal movement. I don't think that's been done before, which is why it was on my wishlist. While I only played the game for 4 minutes, the experience was unbearable and had enough bugs to make this game "definitely not worth your money". 1. Player movement is extremely slow. We're definitely talking "turtle speed" here, in comparison to how fast the player drops due to gravity. 2. Stars and other items (even the exit!) can only be collected when standing on solid ground, making some stars uncollectable (and I'd hazard a guess at "some levels unbeatable") as well. 3. A lives mechanic in a puzzle game?! No thank you. Three counter-puzzle-experience drawbacks in the first 4 minutes; is it any wonder why I would consider this an insult to the whole puzzle genre? Definitely don't buy this. Hell, at this point, I'd have to ask the developer to pay me money to keep me playing (under the guise of "bug-testing"). A lesson to you, developers: Make sure your game's actually designed right. Don't just release your game and forget about it; listen to the feedback of the community (or hire some playtesters to make sure the game is alright!). I could ce…3 found this helpful
A unfortunate amount of gamebreaking bugs (completely broken platforms, uncollectable items while falling including ending cube portal thing, actual ball physics give unfair deaths if you fall and hit the edge of a landing zone), lives in a puzzle game - that yields only frustrating results, a score system made only for self-prestige and sense of achiement (with no high-score boards to compare globally or with friends anyway, no reset level option making late-game levels literally unwinnable due to falling platforms not respawning and finally a otherwise pointless chapter system every (what seems to be) 5 levels. Thus you can't play intermediary levels, you have the start playing the whole chapter... This is one of the worst puzzle games I've played, not in idea but in execution.2 found this helpful
Rotieer is very barebones puzzles game about rotating the level to reach a goal. The overly simplistic graphics and god awful motion blur aside, this was not an enjoyable experience for the 5 minutes I played it. The player moves too slow making the levels feel boring and take longer than they should - this would be much more fun if it were snappier. You also can't pickup the collectible stars when rotating, which I found quite odd. The worst part though, and the reason I stopped playing after just a few minutes, is that you have a limited number of lives. When you run out of lives, you have to restart the chapter of puzzles. It's a very strange design choice for a puzzle game.
Great puzzle game
A buggy mess.
Tags: Casual - Marble Routing Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: A visually mediocre flash game grade title with mechanical flaws. Rotate a board so a ball reaches the exit square. Outstanding issues: Can not activate or catch objects while falling Limited number of lives Does not keep track of your progress within a chapter Mind numbingly boring Default Control Scheme for Xbox360 is badly thought out Positives: A half decent music track Controller Support
