The sanity system:

Your sanity is key to your survival, if your sanity drops, all regenerations will stop, max stamina will be slashed in half, and max carry weight will be slashed in half. To increase your sanity, you can sleep in good beds, drink alcohol, and be around furniture or campfires. Being around other players will slow sanity decay, so teaming up with other players has never been so beneficial.
