About Necesse
Grow a thriving settlement while exploring a procedurally generated world packed with dungeons, bosses, and resources to craft your perfect gear loadout. Play solo, co-op, or on dedicated servers with full customization of difficulty and gameplay rules, where you can balance settlement management with dungeon crawling and PvP rivalry however you choose.
Play singleplayer or co-op - or establish a dedicated server with hundreds of other players. The world is infinite and adapts to whatever mode you choose.
Grow your settlement from humble beginnings, establishing orchards, farms, and workshops alike. Recruit settlers that can work your fields, tend to your animals, and acquire resources without needing your constant attention and supervision. Use their expertise to help prepare for your next expedition as they expand your settlement's capabilities. Hire guards and craft traps to defend against the many dangers of the world. Sell your wares and use your wealth to trade with neighbouring settlements, acquiring much-needed equipment well ahead of what would otherwise be possible.
Whether playing alone or with a few friends, or even creating a dedicated server for hundreds of players, the world of Necesse and its threats adapts to provide a meaningful challenge. Explore freely or take on specific quests as you face off against unique monsters spread across a variety of biomes. Will you be a deadeye archer, a melee champion, or a master of the magical arts? Will you and your friends establish separate competing colonies, or will you pool your resources and divide roles to build a giant settlement together? When faced with a tough boss, will you team up to form a carefully balanced party with powerful synergies, or will you attempt to steal all the glory for yourself?
Cut down trees, mine and process ores, pick herbs, and harvest the bodies of defeated monsters to craft everything from walls and furniture to armour, potions, scrolls, trinkets, and weapons. While some unique equipment can only be acquired by defeating special enemies, everything else can be crafted through a multitude of workshops to equip yourself, your visiting friends, and your loyal settlers. Unlock additional gear as you acquire new resources and discover countless ways to craft, build, and play – endless combinations of equipment mean there's always something new to try.
Play as you want, customising difficulty and multiple gameplay rules to fit your preferences. If you don’t like raiders showing up at your settlement, turn them off, and fine-tune gameplay rules like the length of the day/night cycle or the difficulty of boss battles however you like. From pet parrots and penguins to genie lamps, ostrich mounts, and unique outfits, Necesse has countless options to explore. Whether you're playing singleplayer or with friends, and whether you’re cranking up the difficulty or taking it easy, each session is an opportunity to weave an epic tale unlike any that came before it.

Fun game, much comparable to terraria.
First of all, i need to mention I got this game for free from a steam key giveaway by a twitch streamer. During my time watching the gameplay by the streamer, i was instantly charmed by this game. From the mining, to the boss fights, all the way to the settlement mechanics. The ideas behind this game instantly caught my attention. in my few days of playing, I have progressed through the first stage of the game and i have to say, I love this game. Its a lot like a top down terraria, but it has so much variation from terraria that it feels fresh. I love the options when it comes to weapons and the fact you can skip around a bit in bosses in the same 'stage' for a lack of better word in gameplay. I have greatly been enjoying this game and I will be sticking around for more. Looking forward to future updates.
Downloaded this game for free but it only lasted for about 2 days, then I got so hooked and bought the game after the free license expired. Tutorial was okay, just felt a bit clunky with the text bubbles from the elder and rough around the UI design. The progression, however, was awesome, especially after discovering the settlement mechanics which was what made the game totally unique. I finished the game 2 weeks later in just single player mode because you could equip settlers and give them food buffs and potions and make them work for your settlement by making an autonomous farm and trading system. They could literally do anything for you as long as you setup the configurations correctly, it's like programming your own AI agents (limited to the game's capability of course). My only complain ironically is that you can bring settlers to fight bosses and mobs with you which of course causes the enemies to gain more health, but they're strong as heck and often outdamage me when I play as a summoner. The summon AI is pretty dull and have short ranges and are inconsistent in damaging the enemies. Basically settlers >>> summons. I give this a solid 8/10 mostly because of the settlem…
