The story is straight crazy in a good way. The voice acting is great with few shortcomings. The main character's voice is similar to Garret from Thief. It feels like it is going to be a cheap pos game from the intro but then you get into the house which is your main hub area and it is like an escape room. It is a blast from there. The end battle is unforgiving but doable and has invisible checkpoints so it isn't so bad when you die a lot. ( I recommend you hold a giant rock as a shield and fireball everything until only the giants are left and then take them out with the rocks) There is possibly a second ending since you are faced with a choice ,where you can do nothing or do what you are being told, which I will be looking up after writing this. Overall, it is a really fun game and should not be ignored.3 found this helpful
I had to double-check whether this game is really free to play on Steam, because it’s better than many VR titles I’ve actually paid for. It’s not a long game—I finished it in four hours—but it was an engaging and fun experience. I played this streaming on SteamVR to my Quest 2 headset and the graphics are beautiful, the story is cool, the spell-casting mechanic is well-designed, and the gameplay is solid overall. Probably one of the best free VR games out there right now.
What a killer game! This is a hidden gem for sure!
I think this must have been good for it's time when it was published 5 years ago. It just doesn't hold up anymore. I had a couple of nice moments, mainly the forest area with the shadow creature. The spell casting mechanic is okay. Voice acting is decent. Some parts of the puzzles were okay as well. That's about it when it comes to the good parts. I didn't find the story interesting at all, but I could see some others liking it. The gameplay was way too junky for my liking. Many puzzles and game design choices were frustrating or just outright bad. The wave shooter part was horrible. I've played several free wave shooters that were better. My main problem is that I just didn't have fun while playing. Even the shadow creature part was frustrating due to the slow narration. I'd give this a neutral review if there was a possibility for such.
A game about isolation.
