My channel is called CastVR, so when I saw there was a game with the same name, I had to play it! I recieved the game from the developers before release to do a playthrough of it, and had a lot of fun recording it haha. The story was interesting, the puzzels had me stumped for a bit, and it even scared me a couple times (never trusting puppets again) lol. I gave them some ideas at the end of my video to include smooth locomotion instead of just teleporting, and to have hotkeys on the controllers for the spells. Other than that, it was a great time! I was impressed to find out it's a smaller company putting this together without any outside funding. It's crazy what people can do. Can't wait for the next parts to come out! Thanks to Humble Sage Games for the opportunity!12 found this helpful
i see what the devs were trying to do however the way that this game came across would be said to be quite bland.. The voice acting is something out of a kids play, maybe worse, in a way which you can tell the VA's have the script in front of them and are just reading it like a factual book, no emotion at all. The gameplay is painful and clunky, yes it introduces the spellbook but that is it, no insight about what the spells are nor what they do, it took me an entire 10 mins to work out how to complete the first objective as me, the player, wasn't given any instructions on how to preform the spells nor, again, what the spells do. as a character designer myself, the character designs could be improved as well as the enemies and the overall design. I however did enjoy the architecture of the rooms and how many of the props were interactive. i would play this for more than 15 mins if this were free but, unfortunately its not, and im sorry but its not worth £11. TL;DR: this game is not worth the price, if you want to buy it id suggest getting it on sale, game feels very clunky and not well thought out for the player.10 found this helpful
The king is missing and you are the chosen one to find him. Explore and solve puzzles around the magic castle. Learn new spells and become the wizard that you always wanted to be."Wingardium Leviosa!" https://youtu.be/L1w5D4xb9X07 found this helpful
I have not had a chance to play it that much yet but so far my experiences have be very good. Will update as I progress more.7 found this helpful
My first impressions. Got surprisingly motion sick on the main menu, due to the embers floating up giving me the feeling of falling. The king started talking while I was at the other end of the main hall, I teleported closer to here him clearer but he got quieter and became so quiet I couldn't here him. When I could here him it sounded like it was coming from the roof. The ghost chick said something like "shoot me with any spell" but it would only progress if I shot her with the one that does damage. when you make it in to the dining room, its not obvious that you are meant to kill the little ankle biter. (It would be handy for an indicator noise of some sort of animation to make it a bit more obvious that you are suppose to deal with it) Im unaware if the game goes any further then the dining room. (couldn't figure out the painting puzzle) Briefly got stuck in an audio loop from the ghost girl. Throughout my 45 minutes playing I had No crashes and NO frame rate issues. TLDR: The game is looking good so far just needs a bit of polishing. A few small things to make it a little more user friendly would be appreciated.4 found this helpful
Works on index, but has stupid controls and no locomotion. There was no way I could find to transfer spells from the spellbook to my wand. I had to go to the "peace cabinet". But where the fck was that?
