S.R.A

S.R.A is a pretty chaotic bullet hell roguelike, and I enjoyed how quickly it throws me into the action. I am dropped into a strange futuristic world filled with cosmic creatures, and the main goal is simply to survive while becoming stronger. I liked the combination of overwhelming enemy attacks and gradual character development because it gives every run a clear sense of pressure. The combat is fast and demanding. Enemies fill the screen with attacks, so movement is just as important as dealing damage. I have to watch for incoming projectiles while deciding when to attack and which abilities are worth using. I enjoyed the feeling of gradually getting better at reading the patterns because the game rewards actual learning rather than just relying on stronger equipment. The roguelike structure gives each run some variety. I can improve my character, make choices during a run and experiment with different approaches depending on what I find. I liked this because a failed run does not feel completely wasted. I usually come away knowing something that can help me play more effectively next time.
