The problem is that there are so many great VR music rhythm games out there. It's tough to stand out from the crowd unless you bring something unique or special, whether that's an interesting variation on the gameplay or overall polish. Saber Ship tries to incorporate an interesting variation on the VR music rhythm genre by adding ships that you destroy with your light saber. Some ships you only need to touch, others you need to strike, still others you need to hit perpendicular, still others you need to hit them on the X so that they all get destroyed. While there are some variations, and I haven't unlocked everything, so I don't know what the final form of the gameplay is like, what I have played so far is just solid, nothing genre-defining or even memorable. Saber Ship has varying difficulty levels which you unlock, which seems to bring new mechanics. There are, by my count, 32 songs included. The soundtrack is okay, it's really a hodge podge of songs and I was able to find some that I enjoyed. However, I also foun…
