About Sabotage City

Sabotage City is a satirical city destroyer game where you destroy cities instead of buildingthem. You work for Sabotage City, a demolition company contracted by mayors to drive out the people of their cities.
  • Fast paced money management gameplay with a high skill ceiling, speedrunning tools, and a freeplay mode for replayability.
  • Different gimmicks that spice up the gameplay experience. like being able to hire workers for extra money, or controlling the press to rile up the people. All with the end goal of making the citizens leave.
  • A full story mode campaign with 20+ locations to destroy,  and a full plot with multiple characters, locations, and different routes to take the story.
  • Web 1.0 web page inspired menus and shops. Instead of a normal shop menu the game uses a computer with charming 90s style websites that give advice on how to get better, helps you buy tickets to the cities you destroy, and give backstory to the world of the game.
  • Multiple endings.
  • Codes and ciphers to discover and solve. The game is packed with loads of hidden puzzles and things to solve all across it.
  • And more!

I played this game through to the end of the first path, and I have to say that this game is delightful, charming, and the game loop is really fun, but it comes with some shortcomings that, with a few tweaks, I think would bring this game to its full potential. The good: This game was made with a clear sense of vision from the developer. The gameplay loop is really creative and a lot of fun, and the game's distinct art style makes it feel like a unique experience. It also has a great sense of humor, and I really enjoyed reading the dialogue and descriptions. There are also additional details such as web pages that look like a 1990s-era GeoCities site; little details like these make the game so much more enjoyable to explore. The music is also really solid, and the sound effects are hilarious. The bad: The dialogue needs proofreading. And without directly spoiling late-game content, the game begins to feel repetitive; it felt as though the gameplay in later levels weren't much different from the earliest ones. I would like if the levels built upon earlier ones in a more satisfying way. It would be good to have a lose condition for levels, as well as an option to skip dialogue once…
