About SAGA
The world's first and longest running Persistent MMORTS is finally on Steam! SAGA has been running since 2008, when it revolutionized the genre. We call SAGA an MMORTS because you build cities, command troops, and manage resources like in a traditional RTS, but also go on quests, chat with your friends, join guilds, and trade like an MMO. SAGA is an RTS with battling similar to the Total War series, mixed with city building from Stronghold. Build your army by collecting cards found in booster packs, or trade in-game resources for them in the auction house.
I heard this game is pay to win. Is that true?
With the latest 1.50 update, we are focusing on bringing many more cards to the game's marketplace for in-game currency, making the full experience available for free. So pay to win is now a thing of the past!
Will my current SAGA account work on the Steam version?
Yes, since the Steam version uses the same servers, your account will still work. You can also still use the standalone client if you prefer.
Does SAGA have subscription fees?
No. SAGA has absolutely no subscription fees. Instead, players are encouraged--but not required--to buy their troops in booster packs. Purchased troops remain a player's property, and can be traded with other players for different troops. Troops can also be obtained from the market with in-game gold.
Troops become more powerful as you use them, gaining experience, new weapons and armor over time. Players can customize their armies to their nation type, drawing from over 150 different troop and spell types to find the combination that works best for them.

Persistent World
- Design, build and expand your own kingdom.

Customizable Units
- Your units level up and gain experience points that persist between battles.
- Collect over 100 different kinds of troops and over 50 spells.
- Collect loot from fallen enemies to customize and improve your units.
Solo and Co-op Questing
- Join with friends in Cooperative Mode or battle solo on over a thousand quests!
- Create and join guilds which regularly give resource benefits.
- Trade resources and troops with other players directly, using the Auction House, and with trade routes.
- PvP is completely optional, but participate in PvP for unique rewards including booster packs, troops, and items!

"SAGA" is an old dead cash shop infested "I can't believe it's not a mobile app" RTS game from 2008 (16 years old!!!!) The objective of this old relic is to give your credit card details to the developer so you can win without stupid amounts of grinding. Once more, this kind of mobile-app-like predatory P2W pricing is toxic and unethical developers and their unethical products like this have no place in your library. This has some fairly mediocre/dated looking graphics that will understandably be a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. On pricing and value for gamers, as mentioned this isn't really free as the game is infested with mobile app store like microtransactions. This is a consumer hostile model that we don't need to see on PC. It's deceptively priced to gouge gamers, and that's a reason in itself to avoid this. Even after that, this is only free in a rudimentary sense... the developer has their hand out a $5 USD "donation" DLC for this as you're expected to buy extra DLC from Steam to "support" the developer... digital panhandling. I always had a soft spot for this game since i first played it years back. Who doesn't like building your own city base and army? If you like war games where you can level up your units and well as equipt them with different armors to power them up in different ways, should give it a try. While it may be dated and a small player base, since it's only just been worked on to make it work again. It's still a fun game to chill playing.

Боевая система, основанная на стратегическом использовании карт и бросках кубиков, заставляет думать над каждым своим действием. Персонажи глубокие и запоминающиеся, с интересными историями и мотивациями. Сюжет держит в напряжении до самого конца, а нелинейность повествования позволяет сделать свой собственный вклад в развитие событий. Порадовала возможность кастомизировать своего героя и развивать его умения, подстраивая под свой стиль игры. Визуальное оформление выполнено на достойном уровне, хоть и не хватает полировки в некоторых моментах. Музыкальное сопровождение идеально дополняет атмосферу игры. Несмотря на некоторую сложность в освоении правил, игра 'SAGA' однозначно стоит потраченного времени. Она предлагает уникальный игровой опыт, который заставит вас вновь и вновь возвращаться в этот захватывающий мир. Рекомендую всем любителям стратегий и ролевых игр!
