Information / Review English
Scientist Creature is a scary horror game played in the first person perspective, developed by Procursator Studio.
Gameplay / Story
We received an unexpected call from the authorities, who asked us to inspect the estate of Dr. Henry Hoismer. Rumors have been circulating for years that the eccentric scientist has something to do with the disappearance of many children who disappeared overnight. We quickly realize that we are not alone and that something has escaped from the forbidden laboratory and research and is hunting everything that moves. It also seems that dark forces are at work and have their hand in the game. We are being pursued by something and do not know how to defeat it. In your adventure we have to solve one or two puzzles in order to progress, to reach our goal, to find the exit and to escape...
Pro
+ for fans of Amnesia + dark atmosphere + graphics and textures look good, even though they are a bit older + price/performance + many setting options
Cons
- runs very linearly - short playing time
Conclusion
Scientist Creature offers you a little horror adventure that will keep…

A relatively simple spooky escape game. Nice way to spend half an hour.

Small game that is recommended only at a discount due to easy and generic gameplay. The setup is quite standard. You play an investigator who is looking into missing children. All signs point to a mansion owned by an eccentric doctor. However, as you arrive, all doors are shut, and you receive a message from the doctor stating that a bizarre experiment has been set loose within the mansion. Your objective is to search the rooms for keys and codes while avoiding the experiment. You face it immediately after passing through the first door, therefore the game does not waste time introducing it. However, the creature is neither frightening nor particularly deadly. If you stand in front of it, it will notice you; however, if you walk several steps behind it, it will not. Another fair mechanic is that its patrol and chase speeds are the same. This means that even if it begins to pursue you, you can quickly move to escape around the corner or into one of the closets. It will quickly forget about you, even if you hide in front of it. Also, while you cannot sprint, your walking speed is quite decent. The game is rather simple. You only need to find a few keys and two door codes. You alw…

Find keys to escape whilst avoiding friendo game set in a large manor house. While there are a few issues, like the lack of an inventory, its got some good mechanics going, like you can hide from friendo in wardrobes without having to worry about it seeing you enter it and if friendo does catch you, you just reset to the entrance, keeping any keys youd found but not used. While its nothing crazy good, it is very solid with its mechanics and is a good example of a dev that understands what they are making.

It's a simple concept of exploring a mansion whilst looking for keys and codes to help you escape. Though it's not a challenging play, the scrupulous detailing in the mansion made the atmosphere very immersive and I enjoyed exploring. Could have maybe done with a puzzle or two, here and there, just to mix up the gameplay a little. Although, I did appreciate that I could navigate my way through the game with ease. More of a personal point, but I love learning a story through notes in a game and was happy to see the game incorporate this. Would love to see a more in depth story in the future, as I think it's a great way to immerse the player into the world that little bit more when they have characters to learn about and root for, etc. Enjoyed it. Overall, would definitely play more games from this developer. You can check out my playthrough here: https://youtu.be/BSzhs7dHhqc
