You play as pajamas dude trying to protect kingdom of dreams. Place collectors to absorb the light sources and defend yourself from the shadow beings. Game plays like your usual tower defense but you can build only close to light sources. To be honest there isn't much strategy involved - just place as many allies as you can just works fine in most cases. Story is about boy in coma who lost his memory or something like that. Visuals are ok, you can zoom in and out if you wish to see your creatures from up close. Music and sounds are good just the gameplay is a bit shallow. Very casual TD with some story, play if you want.
If game doesn't work, run in compatibility mode with Windows 7 and 1080p windowed mode12 found this helpful

Game requires you to install an archaic third party program. It wants to install quicktime. Installing it doesn't make the game run. This is unplayable. Avoid.6 found this helpful

The story’s concept is both haunting and tender, turning what might have been a standard defense experience into a metaphorical journey of self-discovery. Every level represents fragments of William’s memories—bright, fragile pieces that must be protected from the spreading void. Rather than focusing on military might or technological prowess, Shad’O asks players to fight with light, memory, and courage, lending the experience a deeply emotional undertone rarely seen in the genre. The gameplay in Shad’O builds on familiar tower defense foundations but adds unique mechanics that make it stand apart. Each map begins covered in a thick fog of darkness that conceals the paths enemies will take. To reveal the terrain and place defenses, players m…
Couldn't remember why I hid this game from my account then checked the discussions and got reminded that it forces us to open our computers to hackers by autoinstalling Quicktime. If a game can't run without such a dangerous requirement, it shouldn't be on Steam.
