"Shadow Prisoner" is a 2D fighting game with simple controls that allow you to perform exhilarating combos.You can play with 25 characters (9 will be added for free, and one is a collaboration character that will be paid DLC).Even if you have no experience with fighting games, you can use the simple mode to play like an experienced fighting gamer just by repeatedly pressing buttons.There are story mode and survival mode for single player, and versus mode and network mode for competitive play.Network mode has a zero-latency netcode that supports rollback.If you are playing in Japan, you can play with the same input sensation as if you were playing next to someone in Japan.Currently available is the main game and the additional non-combo game April Liars.In addition, Epsilon mode, a fighting action game where you shoot each other with a barrage of bullets, exclusive to the Steam version, will be added.

Very fun and crazy (complementary) fighter that's constantly being updated. Every time I boot it up, I find something that I'd never experienced before, whether it's from new content or just playing around. I hope we get more story mode paths because I would love to know more about these characters.1 found this helpful
Game works on steamdeck out the box. The game combat is really responsive which is great. The graphics could be smooth out quite a bit, which would make this game better than other indie fighers. Would like a ost listening mode if there isn't one. Also a character model viewing mode. Also if we could the weather mode that japan has that would be great. Great buy.1 found this helpful

The characters are pretty and it's really fun. I think it's great for casual enjoyment with its easy commands.
the game is very fluid despite what the graphics and stock sounds might initially suggest. i like the inclusion of bc bc at air combos like in melty, and i appreciate that popping gift acts like a roman cancel. also, its made by one guy (who also does work on the daemonbride steam port). if you want to try a game that's both unique and familiar, try shadow prisoner
