Work on “Shio” started when its creator , Liao Yi, was on university, in the spare time between study and homework, creator finished his “Shio’s” prototype and game was able to be showcased on 2014 IGF China (Independent Game Festival) Student Group.
On IGF China “Shio” met Coconut Island Games and its team: Deng Bu Ran (program), Ge Xuanqing (level design), Cai Baowei (level design), Li Lingyi (level design) and others. Original prototype of the game was polished into a beautiful and challenging platformer game.

it was better than i expected, kind of a chill side scroller, i played it on easy mode shallow dream. the beautiful artwork at the end was lovely wish i could get it
Just a really good platformer with beautiful landscape and soundtracks.
Итак, это инди-платформер с закосом на сложность от китайских разработчиков Плюсы: 1. Дизайн уровней, рисовка в целом 2. Музыка довольно простая, но приятная 3. История, которую нужно собирать по кусочкам чтобы к концу игры появилась полная картина происходящего 4. Вышеупомянутая сложность, не совсем мега-хардкор жесть ужос, но некоторые уровни (особенно последний мир) дают некоторый челлендж (имхо была бы игра без чекпоинтов посередине долгих уровней в принципе, вот это было бы сложно) Минусы: 1. Некоторые мелкие визуальные баги, капля технических багов на паре уровней, но то что пишут другие рецензенты вероятно касалось ранних версий, по крайней мере на версии 1.2.3 ничего критичного я не обнаружил 2. Немного скудный арсенал героя, есть лампа и прыжки с помощью нее, было интересно увидеть какие-то другие предметы, но их нет В целом свою цену игра стоит, для ру сегмента 330 рублей это недорого, по скидке вообще за копейки можно получить удовольствие Итого 8/10
Shio is a delightful game which is deceptively simple in its controls. The story is intriguing, the art style is beautiful and I love this game
Quite challenging, even for skilled platform players. Not that long, but the collectables and secrets will extend your playtime, if that's your jam. Otherwise, an interesting narrative keeps things lively. For the price, especially on sale, totally worth it.
