I normally don't hate on free games but this gave me actual second-hand embarrassment while playing (っ- ‸ - ς) The idea itself is great but the execution is horrid. Firstly, the art AND music are entirely AI-generated - they didn't even bother to make the song fit the game, it sounds like someone mixed a bunch of generic 2010s edm samples, and thought it sounds epic because the bass is tuned up. Then the script is just unnecessarily cryptic, encompasses too many concepts for its size and notably tries to seem deep by allowing the player to respond with some goofy "outside of the box thinking"-type replies, AND sometimes the reply options aren't even fully visible... Wouldn't be surprised if the writing was AI-generated as well; translation is awkward too but reads more as regular machine-translation to me. Worst part about this is that the dev is talented, their old games feel unique and have amazing art, while whatever the hell this is probably took less effort to create than my review lmao, this is making me feel petty for ranting like that. For a game that has the tag "horror" the AI club music looping every 2 minutes didn't help at all, Now I picked the English version, which just felt like reading a compilation of intellectual quotes about how quirky life is! I played the game in windowed mode as shown in the trailer, and it made no difference, there's not anything to do this game, just some floating boxes from time to time. The fill of AI slop will come to an end sometime I hope. 15 minutes of reading slop and I said the word woah once when I thought it blackscreened me and I was about to poop my pants of a loud ass jumpscare, but nothing. no sounds in the whole game for me, the description of the game is the whole game.
