A very relaxed space 4x game. RTS with pausing, minimal micro managing and a very interesting premise. You are one faction of the remnants of earth's colonization and are vying with other factions to gain victory within 100 years. Time goes by somewhat slowly, though adjustable that a year can just take a few minutes. Tech tree is sparse as well as colony building slots though the latter can change over time. Forces you to make hard decisions at times on what to focus a colony on. Fleet combat is real time though generally you can win through kiting the enemy fleet. Documentation is sparse right now, you'll spend a while just figuring out what does what. But once you do, it's a fairly rewarding experience if you want a break from the usual kitchen sink 4x games.
I've played this for a few runs. The battles are cool but short in length compared to the general campaign. Overall it's an interesting game, just don't expect AAA amount of content
