I played this a few years ago, but I remember it enough to recommend it. It's fairly short, but ABSOLUTELY a must try if you're just experiencing VR for the first time casually, or want to show a family member / friend what the hype is about. All you do is sit in place and look around; there are no fancy controls. The environment will constantly shift around you, but you will never specifically see something change before your eyes. It's incredibly entertaining to go from outside forest to a street area, and then a small interior. The graphics won't impress (had to be optimized for VR hardware in 2013 mind you), but, it's free so give it a try!

"SightLineVR" is a game jam VR tech demo, not a fully, sincerely made game. This "art" experience has you experiment with VR by doing really annoying 180 degree turns so you can be surprised about low quality game assets being rearranged behind your back. Yep, that's all there is to this game jam garbage. So, it's hard to describe this as a game, the focus of the product is more like that of a mildly interactive "art" experience, there's only minor, shallow and uninteresting gameplay elements. The crux of this is to push a mediocre "experience" at gamers of the kind you would normally see in a public art gallery on amateur week. It's true that games can be art, of course... art is where the pinnacle of creativity, craftsmanship and expertise come together to form something greater than the sum of its parts. This product does a poor job of all of those three. The Mona Lisa would not be hanging in the Louvre if she was drawn as a stick figure in crayon on a napkin. This is not a sincerely made product. It was made for a game jam, which is a problem. It was done in a very short time, but professional game development takes years of effort from teams of talented people. A "game…

Концепция, завязанная на перемещении пространства и времени простым взглядом, поначалу кажется безумной, но очень быстро увлекает. Решение головоломок требует не только внимательности, но и нестандартного мышления, заставляя экспериментировать с перспективой и переосмысливать окружение. Управление интуитивно понятное, что позволяет полностью погрузиться в атмосферу сюрреалистичных локаций. Визуальный стиль минималистичен, но при этом очень эффективен, создавая ощущение нереальности происходящего. Каждая новая локация предлагает новые механики и задачи, не давая заскучать. Единственный минус – игра довольно короткая. Хотелось бы больше уровней и более сложных головоломок. Однако, даже несмотря на это, SightLineVR оставляет яркое впечатление и однозначно стоит внимания всем любителям VR и оригинальных головоломок. Это свежий и инновационный взгляд на жанр! Настоятельно рекомендую!
