About Silent Slayer: Vault of the Vampire
Become a vampire slayer on a mythic quest to eliminate these powerful sleeping monsters — an endeavor undertaken by only the bravest souls. In this jumpscare game with elements of horror and puzzle, you must destroy a clan of ancient vampires by carefully disarming their coffins’ defenses with the help of your guide — a mystical book. A pry bar, clippers, and a hook made from a finger bone are among the many tools within reach, but a stake through the heart is the only way to end it.
Tension builds as you cautiously lift bars, remove nails, and clip wires to find the vampire’s heart. Your silence and precision are key as you avoid awakening the beasts who will drain your life instantly. In this game, be prepared for:
Make one wrong move and you will have a royal court of deadly vampires on the attack.

Untangle increasingly imposing and intricate traps ready to be tripped by an unsteady hand.

Master several unique instruments as you encounter increasingly difficult situations.

Maintain unwavering focus to conquer the unsettling diversions that will surely challenge even the strongest slayers.

Your story unfolds one coffin at a time. Heed the book’s advice, raise your stake, and do not miss.

Annihilate them, Slayer!

There is a caveat to this, not recommended, if you don't suffer from a tremor or other form of physical limitation, then GET THIS GAME! It's incredibly charming and just the consistent Schell Games charm. However, if you are like me (I suffer with a mild tremor) This game is really not accessible. I've played many vr games and even with my tremor, most are still very playable (I have 100%ed all of the IEYTD games) but this is so brutal with even the mildest hand shake, you will die. I was going to just say "oh I can't 100% it" but I don't even know if I will be able to beat the main story at this rate. I don't know how viable it is to add some kind of difficulty barrier where I could let the game be more forgiving but at this point, even with my mild tremor, this nears unplayable at times5 found this helpful
The game itself not bad. Interesting mechanics and tasks to eliminate the targets. Unfortunately, the major drawback is that game is not suitable for players with shaking hands which makes it impossiple to cut wires or taking the idol. If you have a steady hands this game is going to be fun. But for me? I guess I have to look for a different game1 found this helpful
Silent Slayer was my introduction to VR Horror Games and is now my go to recommendation for anyone looking to start somewhere. The game is a puzzle experience all about slaying vampires. With tons of traps both outside and inside the coffins you’ll have to disarm with the tools available. Before finding the vampire's heart, binding it with magic, and then staking it before it has a chance to bite your neck off. Along for the ride is a talking book who acts as your guide. With lore and explanations within his pages, as well as a lot of things to say about mistakes and how you died. So as long as you don't ignore his words or get impatient you should be able to survive. The game isn’t too difficult as long as you take your time with each step, pay attention to what the book says between coffins, and do not dilly dally. If done well, the game can be beaten in about 2 hours if you don’t fumble too much, 4 or more if aiming for 100% The only thing I feel is currently missing from the game is Voice Immersion. Having to be silent, both in-game and real life would be extremely funny. Though it doesn’t seem like that’s in the cards currently. The puzzles are simple once you g…1 found this helpful
short game, but very fun had me on the edge of my seat the entire time lol wish there was more vampires with each randomized difficulty... but oh well
loved it honestly, it was fun
This is an awesome game. I was thinking it was going to be a simple game but they put a lot of thought and work into it. It actually had a pretty good story to it. They had a lot of detail - even the voice actor was top-notch! They even added nice touches - like spiders and bats for distractions. I loved the way they added new ways of defeating the vampire as you progressed so. It was pretty creative. I luckily didn't have the issues others had with the controllers not registering very well. I use Index with Knuckles. The one time I did have an issue was when one of my scanners (i use 2) was off and I didn't realize it. The controller wasn't precise and caused frustration in doing the puzzles but once I turned it on and had two running it was smooth again. I will be adding this to my annual Halloween holiday month of VR games along with my already annual Dagon VR game.
