About Vlad the Landlord
Vlad's fed up with the red diet, coffin sores, and fang filing! The vampire business is so old. But legends say that with enough blood, a vampire's humanity will return...Hunt the neighboring buildings for tenants and create a well-assorted "pantry" in Vlad's mansion, manage the growing thirst, unlock vampiric powers, avoid the looming sunrise, and ultimately turn this less-than-optimal landlord human again!
- A single-player blend of management, stealth, and roguelite consequences, taking place on a single level
- At least 4-8 hours to beat, and then some if you attempt Hard
- Easy, Normal, and Hard difficulty settings
- Re-bindable controls on both keyboard and gamepad
PROWL THE NIGHT
Keep to the shadows and climb, glide, pick locks, and sneak to approach quietly and bite at the opportune moment. Alerted daypeople will struggle when bitten or flee before then, wasting precious blood.MAKE TENANTS
At a cost of vampire blood, humans can be made into tenants. But be aware, not all humans make great tenants; garlic-loving chefs and trigger-happy soldiers are an acquired taste.MANAGE YOUR PANTRY
The mansion only has room for so many tenants, and they perish quickly and recover slowly.- Sip, don't chug! The more you drain, the harder it is to stop. It's often wise to save some blood for later
- A good landlord tries to not frighten their tenants, for they tend to overreact and move out
- Some tenants affect their neighbors, for good or bad. Take care where you place them
MANAGE THE THIRST
Every moon cycle, the thirst grows. Unless quenched in time, it will force you into hibernation. The higher your thirst, the longer your slumber, and the more tenants will move out before you wake.UNLOCK POWERS
As you return to your coffin each night, spend blood to unlock and upgrade your vampiric powers – from improvements to your vision, climbing, or jumping, to attracting more or better neighbors, to shifting into bat and rat forms!AVOID THE SUNRISE
Nights end in fiery, blood-draining daylight. Stick to the shade, or head for the safety of your coffin when dawn nears. What Steam players say

I received a key from the developer but for $6 this game is worth it. Fun little game loop and enjoyable trying to figure things out. Definitely had some surprises and for sure was surprised by more depth than it first appeared. Give it 5-6 nights at least and try different things.3 found this helpful
A fun game and one of the only vampire experience simulations I've ever found. Nearly all franchises that include vampires tends to treat them as a cross between a bat themed werewolf and a fire mage where all the fire has been replaced with blood. If you looking for an experiece such as being Bram Stoker's Dracula, this is the 5 dollar version of that experience. And it punches well above it's weight - well into the $7.50 experience range. I'd love to see more complexity and depth added to this simulation. The game is complete however. My only gripe is that the hard mode doubles to quadruples the difficulty of every aspect of the game from night one - to the point where hard mode isn't possible. The extra challenges should be introduced over the first 4 weeks, not the first night.1 found this helpful

Absolutely gorgeous pixel indie game about Vlad the vampire that is getting annoyed with being a vampire. Amazing pixel art, lovely gameplay thats very captivating for it simple premise :D. You can use blood as a raw resource to quench your thirst and then digest it for more upgrades to your vampiric powers with the final intent of becoming human to have some peace and quiet. Very lovely game, I had a lot of fun playing it.1 found this helpful
A fun combination of management and stealth gameplay. Vlad struggles to control his urges and vampiric powers, which tends to put you in situations where you don't want to be. The aesthetic is a bit on the darker side, but it feels humourous in the way it plays, which I liked.
I really liked this game because it reminded me of when the games was in 2D. I enjoyed the concept too!
