This solo developed indie game puts you in control of a journey through a foreign world scarcely explored in popular media, including the famous Mongolian Steppes, the sandy deserts of Arabia, the wet jungles of India and the civilized empire of China. You can choose your path across the world.
Over 100 unique events will challenge you on your journey, with multiple endings, luck based decisions and unique artwork.

Игра 'Silk Roads: Caravan Kings' – это увлекательная смесь экономической стратегии и приключений, переносящая игрока в эпоху торговли вдоль Шелкового пути. Интересно управлять караваном, добывать ресурсы, торговать различными товарами между городами и развивать свой бизнес. Разнообразие доступных товаров, особенности каждого города и динамично меняющиеся цены делают каждую торговую экспедицию уникальной и заставляют постоянно адаптироваться к рынку. Графика игры приятная, хотя и не поражает воображение, но хорошо передает атмосферу древних торговых путей. Интерфейс интуитивно понятен, что позволяет быстро освоиться и начать погружаться в геймплей. Единственный минус – иногда повторяющиеся события и однообразные задания. Хотелось бы больше разнообразия в случайных встречах и возможностях взаимодействия с другими караванами и персонажами. Однако, в целом, игра оставляет положительные впечатления и способна увлечь на долгие часы. Рекомендую всем любителям экономических стратегий и исторических сеттингов!1 found this helpful
The game is very good, and is even better for new players, as it is now free to play. BTW, if you try Silk Roads and like it, you can also buy Silk Roads II, which is really excellent and somewhat different.1 found this helpful
"Silk Roads: Caravan Kings" is a simple trading game where you tycoon your way through running caravans on the silk road... which might be really cool if this wasn't just an ultra simple browser game (not sure if this was released as a browser game but it has all the same properties). So this looks like an old 1990's Adobe Flash game that you might play in a web browser, and the problem there is obviously Steam wasn't intended to try compete with Chrome and Firefox. If it can be done in a web browser, it's not even close to a cutting edge PC gaming experience. That's a problem. The game features really lacklustre 2D visuals (does the developer not know 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid-1990s?). Gamers don't spend thousands of dollars on gaming rigs and the latest 3D graphics cards to play 2D games. Even mobile phones and game consoles can do 3D graphics now. There's no excuse. This game is fairly dated at 5 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. Very fun but slightly repettive. the game should add more alternate routes, and add more abrupt endings.
