it's solitaire and simple for sure, very much like a mobile game. still, it has separate volumes, resolution options, windowed mode and a few languages available anytime, plus an exit button and in-game rules. a lot more than many games, card or otherwise, can offer. backgrounds are really nice too. you start with $500k and trying and retrying levels costs money. novel approach, don't like it, prefer no cash and collecting it as levels are solved instead of constantly spending some. wildcards, undo and extra cards once the deck runs out are available for a price, costing more with each use, but at least it resets between levels, unlike some other games, so you won't have to spend 10k on undo by level 30. another novelty is cards with only a face, no value, more freedom to match. on the downside there's buggy audio, music changing volume depending on whatever's happening, so I turned it off after a couple of levels. the screen shake after every combo is incredibly annoying and there's no level select, can't replay already completed stages. nor is there a restart option, gotta go back to the menu and click play to retry the current one, and as soon as level 5 the size of the deck c…4 found this helpful
My Experience As solitaire games go, this one is...competent but not great. Whereas some solitaire games give you abilities that you can use to help you clear the board, Simple Solitaire gives you the ability to buy...more cards? a wild card? And the wild cards don't even carry into the next level! A few levels feature wild cards in the layout, and if you don't use these in the level where you found them, they're gone forever. Are the number of cards given in the deck to clear a certain level calibrated by the difficulty of that level? There were a number of times that I ran out of cards quite early after having no plays, and then had to click the "+5 cards" button over and over. Unfortunately, doing this usually makes me feel that I've misplayed, no matter how few cards I was given in the first place. Developer BlueCloud seems to throw the player a bone here, as there is almost always a card that you can use in the new five that you've acquired. At least I never felt the monetary pinch - I think the game starts you with 500,000 coins? When I finished all 100 levels, I think I was somewhere just past 750,000. There's an achievement for getting 1 million, which wou…1 found this helpful
NO
A nice simple "up/down" solitaire game (especially in relaxed mode) with nice background graphics that change every 10 levels, okay loop music that also changes every 10 levels, with 100 levels total. The play is quick and easy and you can buy 5 extra or wild cards as needed although the price goes up each time. In relaxed mode it seems the draw/deck is very positive, giving you the cards you need most of the time. It's a good game to play if you want to pass the time without straining your brain.
It's a pretty good game to play. The backgrounds are beautiful, and it's fun to match the cards.
meh, turn pretty much in circle and seems pretty random for the card at the bottom.
